Hi All,

Like we mentioned in our post earlier, we submitted our service request number 1 on Day 75 for our I765 case approaching regulatory timeframe.

On July 21, we received a response notice for that SR. However, the response had many weird issues:

1. Firstly the reply talked about I485 application instead of the I765.

2. Secondly, the "case type" on the response notice was I765 but the "receipt number" was for I485.

3. Thirdly, the "received date" of the case was written as May 2016 instead of April 2016

4. Lastly the response was from Omaha Field Office - Nebraska, even though we are from New York

Not sure what is going on. Any thoughts??

Kind regards,

ConiMoni

Yeah, that sounds totally weird. It sounds like someone or a computer screwed that up! I received a SR response today and all of the information they had listed was correct.

I'm glad you have an infopass appt scheduled. I hope they can give you some info and you aren't wasting your time. I have looked at getting an appt here in Atlanta and I have yet to seen any open. I probably shouldn't bother driving almost an hour there anyway unless I had an interview.

Hey everyone, I could do with some advice. I just received a RFE today asking me to submit a complete Form I-693, completed by a USCIS Civil Surgeon. I came on the K1 visa and had a medical in London, and included the DS3025 vaccinations record I was given in the AOS application. DOes this mean I need to get a new medical done, or get the record transcribed?

Any info would be greatly appreciated

EAD was delivered today. Good luck to those still waiting.

Also, I'm in the same boat as you Moslund...i485 still on fingerprint fee received...hoping for no interview!

I also am stuck on fingerprint fee received. Hopefully all of us could skip the interview!

I haven't heard anything about my EAD yet and we are at day 90 today! My case is super close to yours so I hope I'm next. Our case was received April 26 (1 day after you) and we have the same NOA date (April 29).

Hi CRPuraVida,

Thank you for your reply. The weirdness doesn't end here. There is more:

1. The SR request that we mentioned shows under the I765 case on my USCIS case status not under the I485 because we are still getting validation errors on my I485

2. The name on printed on the SR response only has a portion of my first name not the complete name.

Not to forget, before getting an approval on our I-131, we got a message saying appeal was dismissed which completely threw us off.

I am glad that i have my EAD/AP card in hand at the moment so i have an year to work with USCIS without getting financially affected. However, like you mentioned, the info pass appointment should help us get more clarity on this.

Kind regards,

ConiMoni

you would probably be easier getting a new medical done.. i would imagine it would be a headache between having to call them then to wait on them mailing everything out... on th e flip side if you got a whole new medical done your looking at like $100-$300... all you do i find a civil surgeon take your DS3025 and they transfer that data onto another sheet of paper they give you a TB on your wrist you come back in 2-3days then they sign off on it and place it in a sealed envelope

yay!! at least someone else shares my pain haha

on a another note i went to dmv to get a driver's licence today i opted for a learners permit since i havent drove in over 6years and my UK 1 expired 2 years ago.. I passed the question test but when i was called back up to get my card processed they said they couldnt go through with the production of my permit cause they needed immigration verification and which can take upto 14days to get it... has anyone experienced this?? they photo copied my passport, EAD and my i-797c for my i-485 then gave me a phone number told me to call it to see they got the verification from immigration... once they get verification to go back and collect my learners permit

Yes, but in Maryland. It was a new thing they rolled out about 2 years ago, when I last needed to get an ID. They said they needed verification from immigration about my legal status and they couldn't give me my card on the spot. If I recall correctly they ended up mailing it.

do you recall how long it took for them to verify? all i was told was it should be verified within 14days and to call the number every few days to check the status... I'm not in a crazy rush to get it but i dont want to waste my time calling every 3-4 days if its takes closer to the 14day marker

It took about a week for me to get the actual card, so I guess they usually get it cleared much faster than the 14 days.

Oh and one more thing, in the notice it said that our application has been identified as a potential interview waiver case. This means that an interview may not be required to process your application; however, if the Field Office deems that an interview is required, you will receive an interview appointment notice.

Not sure what is going on. Any thoughts??

Kind regards,

ConiMoni

That's weird. I haven't seen anyone getting actual notices lately, but that notice is usually the prep for a waiver. The only thing is, the people that got those notices that the interview MIGHT be waived ended up with the 6-9 months + waits until their GC.

I'd keep on them. Something doesn't seem right. Maybe the info was put into the system wrong. One number makes a whole other case. Just really weird.

I agree but the odd thing is that the SR for which we received the mail also shows under the case history section of I765.

So we have no idea why a response notice for a service request opened for I765, talks about I485 and that the response comes from a completely different field office than that close to our residence.

We have requested a call back from Tier2 officer for the status check of our AOS case as the receipt number is not working and we also have also have an infopass appointment for friday.

Looking forward to getting more information.

Kind regards,

ConiMoni

I would be anxious and panicking too if i didnt have my EAD/AP card.

The fact i have that now helps me move on in my life instead of just being fixated and stuck in the matters of uscis case status.

Thanks for the support though.

Kind regards,

Hi guys, I just got a letter in my mailbox. Couple days ago I made a request about my case - it's one of the tools online.
They sent me the letter with more detailed status than you can see online, so I think it's worth it.

They got my RFE response on May 20th (thanks for letting me know earlier.. :D ) and my case is still pending and within a normal processing time... That's all ever wanted to know!!! :) So, I'm very happy!
