Ok Tier 2 told us today that we are still pending , and we are not approved yet even though we were told so last week. They also said that filing the service request may have delayed the case.

I was also told there is nothing I can do and to hold tight for another 30 days.

We are at day 95. Has anyone filed another service request after the first one comes back and says it's still pending?

AOS from K1

4/20/16: Package delivered

4/27/16: NOA1

5/23/16: Biometrics

6/3/16: Ready for interview status on I-485

7/5/16: SR1 filed (over 75 days)

7/26/16: SR2 filed (over 90 days) - 96 days

I received my response two weeks later, but nothing more than "your case is currently under review"... one day after that, my case was updated with "card being produced".

File on April 15 2016, got our Interview last tuesday and six day later I received my green card on the mail.

case only took 3 months.

What is your local office?

I just got a txt, my green card is being produced :D

The RFE doesn't seem to have delayed it one bit, we got all confused when it got sent to Texas instead of our local office which is Charlotte but it's approved and no interview

Everything crossed for a smooth and stress free journey

Hi Folks,

We just wanted to confirm if anyone who received mail regarding the Service Request submitted were sent from different field office?

We are from NY but the mail reply to our Service Request came from Nebraska. Not sure why.

Has anyone had similar experience?

Kind regards,

ConiMoni

Hi,

Actually I hadn't noticed that, but my reply came from Missouri, while I am applying from NJ. Not sure if that means the case is being process there, but I would like to think yes, since my field office it's supposedly Newark and it is running behind with AOS processing times...

Just an update to everyone. After receiving the EAD two days ago, we went to our local SSA office today to get a SSN number. The guy there told us that the EAD was not yet registered in the system (understandably).

He asked us why my wife didn't get an SSN under her K1/I-94... we said we thought that the legal employment status was required for an EAD. Well, apparently getting an SNN pre-EAD is not only possible, but recommended. Now we must wait 2-4 weeks for the SSN card, since the guy who assisted us needs to wait for the DHS to confirm that she has her EAD (this is a direct consequence of the EAD not yet being registered in the system).

For all those waiting for their EAD, unless it's going to arrive very soon, i'd recommend going to your local SSA office asap with your passport, birth certificate, and marriage certificate. Once your EAD arrives, all you'll need to do is return to the SSA office with your marriage certificate and change your last name.

If you already have your EAD and don't yet have your SSN card, perhaps wait 3 or so business days before going to the SSA, that way it's certain that everything is in the system.

Cheers

Yeah, you can get your SSN from SSA from the moment you enter on the K-1 until 2 weeks BEFORE your I-94 expires. Once your I-94 is expired, or two weeks prior to expiring, they can't help you. It's always best to do it within the first month.

I think it took us a little over a month to get my husbands SSN, but it's because it was lost in the mail at christmas lol.

Thanks for the responses people. It actually just came in the mail today. I got the same thing as stated above. Currently under review, should hear an answer soon.

I also called today to see what's going on because we're at 90 days today. She advised me to keep waiting and also to check my SPAM/JUNK folder. Are you SERIOUS?! Sigh... Another week of waiting!

We submitted a SR for the EAD. It arrived today and came from Missouri as well ^^. I am filing from Georgia.

Hi everyone,

Good news! After 94 days since the NOA's notice day, our EAD status changed to "A New Card is Being Produced"!!

It is the first time that the case status is actually working for us - We kept seeing this annoying error message...

One strange thing though:

- My I-485 status says "Validation Error"

ConiMoni, I saw that you had the same Validation Error status.... anyone else in the same situation?

Hi All,

Like we mentioned in our post earlier, we submitted our service request number 1 on Day 75 for our I765 case approaching regulatory timeframe.

On July 21, we received a response notice for that SR. However, the response had many weird issues:

1. Firstly the reply talked about I485 application instead of the I765.

2. Secondly, the "case type" on the response notice was I765 but the "receipt number" was for I485.

3. Thirdly, the "received date" of the case was written as May 2016 instead of April 2016

4. Lastly the response was from Omaha Field Office - Nebraska, even though we are from New York

Oh and one more thing, in the notice it said that our application has been identified as a potential interview waiver case. This means that an interview may not be required to process your application; however, if the Field Office deems that an interview is required, you will receive an interview appointment notice.

Not sure what is going on. Any thoughts??

Kind regards,

ConiMoni

EAD was delivered today. Good luck to those still waiting.

Also, I'm in the same boat as you Moslund...i485 still on fingerprint fee received...hoping for no interview!

yay!! at least someone else shares my pain haha

on a another note i went to dmv to get a driver's licence today i opted for a learners permit since i havent drove in over 6years and my UK 1 expired 2 years ago.. I passed the question test but when i was called back up to get my card processed they said they couldnt go through with the production of my permit cause they needed immigration verification and which can take upto 14days to get it... has anyone experienced this?? they photo copied my passport, EAD and my i-797c for my i-485 then gave me a phone number told me to call it to see they got the verification from immigration... once they get verification to go back and collect my learners permit
