How are service request responses sent out? Via mail?

I sent a service request online and received the following messages when checking the status online. (I received no notification):

Case History

  • On July 20, 2016, your inquiry about the status of your Employment Authorization application, referral number ********, was assigned to an officer for response.
This was for the I-765.

Thanks, we saw your post about not having the I-130 available and wanted to know if this was a common issue or not. We have our interview Aug 4th and our case number is still invalid online and the help desk is not helpful at all.

It was very weird... Our i-130 has been approved since march. It was supposed to be sent to the local field office, where the interview took place. We filed the i-485 with a copy of the approval notice attached. We took the approval notice to the interview , as all of the original documents. The officer did not wanted to see ANY at all!

Now the fun part:

My friend, also married to active duty mil member, also stationed here, also from germany, had the same exact situation at the interview as me: no i -130. Still the officer( same officer) approved her application on the spot. They had a lawyer though. So i dont know how much that weighed in...

Good luck to you!

Ok, I am so confused. When I called on day 90, they said I was approved July 18 day 88. And I would be receiving mail dated July 18 that I was approved. We finally received something today but it was a response to the service request from day 75 (letter dated July 18) saying it was still pending. Tried calling this morning but by 11am they were no longer transferring to tier 2, and I still have a validation error online.

Back to waiting.. Day 92...

Anyone else had this happen?

Hi guys! I haven't talked much in this thread, but I've been following it and love seeing the updates. My husband just received his EAD in the mail, and I just wanted to say don't lose hope! If you haven't gotten it yet and feel like screaming, you are not alone! Keep as much patience as you can... things will work out :-)

Now if only they would schedule his GC interview... haha.

Hey guys, I just received the EAD card yesterday (Saturday 23rd) morning. It marks 93 days since they received the application. I'm a late April filer, so I hope almost everyone gets their card before the end of this month. If you applied for AP as well, it will be stated on the EAD card.

I just want to share a tip that worked for me. I read it somewhere in the forum, but I don't remember who posted it. When the online status changed to "Mailed", there was no tracking number provided. Someone suggested to create an account at the USPS website and use the My USPS feature. After you provide your address and everything, it will list and even notify you for any packages that are being mailed to you.

Good luck everyone!
