See , and thats why we didnt apply for it.. But i think its so unfair that they still can deny you entry. Then whats the point of having it?

I dont get it..

I agree!! The only way to get back in and guarantee reentry is if you can show proof of emergency situation that made you leave in the first place Edited by Moslund

Just received a call back from a Tier 2 officer.

I didn't get much information, but at least we got a little clarity. She said that my husband's fingerprints/background check was completed on May 31 and that the EAD is "still processing." To me that means: his file is waiting on someone's desk waiting to be approved.

When I asked about the I-485 she told me that it's "waiting to be scheduled for an interview." Which I took it as the Atlanta office is backed up and they haven't processed his stuff yet. As with everyone else, we are hoping for no interview!

Good luck to all.

Dear Fellow Visa Journey Members,

So like we mentioned in our post earlier today, we can now finally check our EAD and AP receipt numbers. However here is the twist:

For EAD Application, the case status is: New Card is Being Produced - On July 18, 2016, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number MSCXXXXXXXX, and will mail it to the address you gave us.

For AP Application, the case status is: Appeal Was Dismissed - Your appeal was dismissed and the original decision on your case, Receipt Number MSCXXXXXXXX, remains the same. On July 18, 2016, we sent you a notice about this action.

We never knew what the original decision was, so how could we have filed an appeal. Hence we called the customer care. Unfortunately the Tier-2 were not talking any transfers for the rest of the day, so the customer care representative submitted a call back request for us.

Furthermore, we are also able to see the case history for our EAD:

1. On July 18, 2016, your inquiry about the status of your Employment Authorization application, referral number ETC##########MSC, was completed. (Service Reqest number 1 submitted on Day 75)

2. On July 18, 2016, we sent a response to your inquiry about the status of your Employment Authorization application, referral number ETC##########MSC (Service Reqest number 1 submitted on Day 75)

3. On July 18, 2016, your inquiry about the status of your Employment Authorization application, referral number ETC##########MSC (Service Reqest number 1 submitted on Day 75), was assigned to an officer for response.

For our service request number 2 that was submitted on day 91 still says: On July 14, 2016, your inquiry about the status of your Employment Authorization application, referral number WKD##########MSC, was assigned to an officer for response.

Not sure what is going on. Looking for advise from fellow visa journey members.

Will be waiting for your reply.

Kind regards,

ConiMoni

I'm sorry for your loss. It's ridiculous how many important things we miss out while waiting on this process. Leave her pretty flowers and wherever she is, she knows you cared.

For anyone wondering, I've already used AP for a 1 week vacation, and had no issues getting back in. JUst had to go through secondary for a little bit, then they put a new stamp in my passport that says PAROLED for 1 year

That's great! What did you have to show? And did you go to the visitors or residents line?
