But what does your local office processing time have to do with a document being transfered??? It makes no sence... Once they receive that document it should go directly to the officer in charge of your case for instant approval... He's talking as if your file got put to the bottom of the interview stack which doesn't apply cause you already had an interview

There can't be instant approval as there was no interview. They should have set another interview date as soon as they got the documents though

I don't get why it's there bringing up processing times its not as if your waiting for the document to be approved... It's already approved Your waiting for it to be mailed to a another location... You'd be fast going there picking it up yourself and personally dropping it off at your local office

URGENT ANSWER PLEASE>>>

I have a friend, they got married here in USA, 2 weeks after their marriage the husband left her for another girl. Her husband doesnt want to file AOS and is now living with the new girl. By the way she just found out she is 4 weeks pregnant. IS there anything she can do to self petition or you think this is a good idea or she needs to go back to her country.. Thank you for your input

If she arrived on a K1 then she cannot adjust without her husband :(

If he has left her and they cannot reconcile then I'm sorry to say she has no path to file AOS :(

Everything crossed for a smooth and stress free journey

Gotcha. I thought the officer told you to go home and didn't want to ask you anything. Sorry for misunderstanding

No problem!

We went to the interview, which went well but at the very end the officer said, that he can not approve the application on the spot bc they are still waiting for the approved i-130 to come in. I had the approval notice and all other originals with me. We were very organized. But the officer did not wanted to see any of those!! Nothing.

He only said that it can take a week or two, maybe 3-4, but if i dont hear anything in two months, then i can call the customer help line...

online? where can you check?

Do you have a "my case" account? Log in, scroll down to your application, click on that , scroll down again where they list the steps. There i was able to see it.

But keep in mind...it's uscis; not very up to date!

ooh I see, yeah I have an account! Thanks!!!

I was only able to add my AOS receipt nr and it shows

As of July 11, 2016, your request to change your address, referral number CA11931608083MSC, is currently not assigned for processing.

is that ok? like they will just eventually process it?
