Hi guys just an update: My EAD was delivered in the mail today!

My status online changed to "card being produced" on Tuesday (July 5th). Today when I checked online expecting it to have changed to "card mailed to you" I was surprised to see the "Card was delivered to me by the post office". I ran to my mailbox and there it was! I also received two NOAs one for I-765 approval notice and one for I-131 approval as well. Online my AP still as "case was received" since April 5! But my card came combo EAD+AP.

Have a great weekend everyone!

We submitted an online service request June 22nd then called June 28th and submitted over the phone with Tier 2. Our case number for I485 started working online June 30th but was dated June 28th and the interview notice came shortly thereafter so I don't think that the two things are even related meaning the service request did nothing to move us along, it was already scheduled.

We still can't check our other cases online so we have no idea if the service request is assigned or if everything is just sitting under someone's desk. No one ever clarified but I do believe the 90 days starts at the receipt date on The notice not when they pick up from the lockbox which is why there is a discrepancy between when you think you can put in a SR and when you actually can. Our date is Apr 13th so we are approaching 90 days soon. Frustrating. We hope to hear some good news this week. And hope everyone else does too.

my EAD receipt number does work for my cases they were recieved April 11th and my case status "recieved April 11th" so on my case they scanned them in the day it was picked up from lockbox so I would count day 1 from then... your service request has nothing to do with your I-485 progressing unless you submitted it for your I-485... A service request for your EAD works independently from your I-485 case and will only work for your EAD

I understand that the two are not connected but there was some conversation that putting in a SR would prompt them to at least pick up your AOS package and could start the whole thing moving which obviously is not the case, at least not for us. Our interview is scheduled and at this slow rate I hope the EAD comes before the GC. From VJ search the determination of what is "day 1" is a little unclear and some people use the day they picked it up while others use the receipt date on the NOA. most of the time those dates are within a few days of each other but certainly 3 days for the USCIS is the difference between processing in 90 which is within the window and 93 which is outside. We should hear something this week based on the VJ timeline info

Hopefully that's the case for my I-485 that it trigger progress cause I'm stuck on "fingerprint fee recieved" but I believe they go by receipt date not notice date cause there is a 16day different between my receipt date (April 11th) and notice date (April 27th)... If they went by my notice date then I wouldn't of been able to submit a service request when I did since its 16day off from my recieved date... 75 days from my notice date would of put me at 75days yesterday Edited by Moslund

For those of you who submitted a Service request for your EAD how long did it take for it to be assigned to an officer? Whose who submitted 1 within the past week has your been assigned yet? I just submitted my service request June 29th (11 days ago) and my case status says my service request has not been assigned to an officer as of yet

When i submitted a SR it took 17 days before it was assigned to an officer, that's what the status said, however my EAD got approved (like 7 days ago) already before and when they assigned my SR to an officer. although submitted a request for call back from Tier 2, they didnt call anymore may be coz they approved the EAD. Got on last Saturday my I-797 approval letter.
