What's there to lose patience for if you already have your EAD/AP?

Just received my Green Card today We didn't get called into an interview! My card is valid for 10 year though.... That has to be a mistake, right?

Hello guys, I still have just that they received everything, but the online status hasn't changed and don't have my biometrics letter yet either.

What is the next step? Getting biometrics letter, then the appointment and then EAD and AP??

What's the average waiting time for EAD? I really want to apply for a job already :)

Hi! :) I was very anxious to get my biometrics appointment letter - since some people received it as early as 4 days after the NOA1!!- and when I was losing hope I received it.

From the timelines I've seen, it goes biometrics > EAD/AP > letter requesting an interview > GC... in some cases the EAD was issued after 1/2 months only!! But every office will tell you EAD is sent around the 3rd month mark.

03/22/2016: Sent AOS packet (I-485, I-130, I-131, I-765)

03/24/2016: Packet received @ Chicago Lockbox

04/04/2016: Received 4 NOA1's hardcopies

04/16/2016: Received biometrics letter

04/25/2016: Biometrics appointment scheduled for 10:00AM

05/10/2016: Expedite request submitted

05/11/2016: "My case is ready to be scheduled for an interview"

05/21/2016: "My new card is being produced" (EAD)

05/23/2016: "My case was approved" (travel document)

Guys what should we do please help.... Wesent AOS packet on April 2 and acordingto usps tracking it was delivered April 8. I called money order today. it says that it hasn't been cashout yet and I called USCIS he said they don't have my papers yet. I see other applications newer than ours but they have received text already...

5/6/2016 - delivered and signed up for by R Mercado [Day 1] 7/20/2016 - called to submit a service request for my EAD. [Day 76]
5/12/2016 - checks cashed [Day 7] 7/28/2016 - case numbers for i-130 and i-765 started working to say case was received on May 6 [Day 84]

5/16/2016 - got 3 NOAs in the mail, dated May 12, priority date is 7/29/2016 - case status of I-765 is "New Card Is Being Produced", later in the evening - "Case Was Approved" [Day 85]

May 6 (haven't received any emails or texts) [Day 11] 8/1/2016 - received answer for the service request "your case is under review" [Day 89]

6/10/2016 - got biometrics letter in the mail, notice date is June 4, 2016, which 8/1/2016 - received answer for the service request "your case is under review" [Day 89]

is day 30 from when they picked up the package [Day 36] 8/2/2016 - case status of I-765 is "The Card was Mailed to you" [Day 90]

6/21/2016 - Biometrics walk-in in Philadelphia [Day 47] 8/4/2016 - received I-797 Notice of Action for approved I-765 [Day 92]

So you too haven't got any news from them? What about your check or money order was it cashout? Thank you. It help me relieved I am not alone

Unfortunatelly this is the only thing you CAN possibly do

I don't think it's possible for them to loose your documents. They must have received them and they are just somewhere laying on someone's desk.

the worst case scenario in this case is that the documents may be on their way back to you because smth was filed wrong.

But let's hope for the better and wait for GOOD news

As they say, you should always hope for the better, but be prepared for the worse.

Look at this one

we are not the one whos documents were not reviewed yet

it looks like they have some problem with those who filed aptil 1-4

cause almost all those who filed before and after those dated got reviewed

It doesnt show very well, but if you go to the immigration timelines, choose AOS and sort this table by the time when the application was filed, you'll see there's definetely smth wrong with exactly these dates

only 4 out of 14 people got some news.

How exciting you got to be in Japan! How much longer does your husband have in? We are planning to move back to Europe as well! Still don't know when.

I currently can't drive so I already told my friend my appointment is next monday, I don't mind. But I didn't know I could do walk ins!

i have learned so much on this forum already :idea: ! Some offices allow walk-ins, others don't. I don't want to risk it, because we will have to drive 2 hours to the next office ..

4 more years :/ We have two little boys and i really want to live closer to my family!

Seems like the mail skipped our mailbox today!

april 1st: sent i-485 to chicago lockbox

april 4th: i-485 delivered to chicago lockbox

april 7th: "biometrics fee received and accepted"

april 10th: email notification of acceptance and routing to NBC for processing

april 11th: hardcopy i-797C in mail (notice date april 8th)

april 30th: received biometrics letter for: may 11th @ 9am

june 2nd: received interview letter for: july 6th @ 11.10am

july 6th: Interview day---no decision was made

july 13th: sent e-mail to congressman, asking for an inquiry on my case.

We were in the same boat about a month ago. When I sent my husband’s AOS package it got delivered on March 17, but we didn’t get any news until April 1 when our checks were cashed. So it took a little over two weeks. Hopefully that makes you feel a little better. I know how much the waiting can stink!

3/16/16 - I-130,I-485, and I-765 mailed
3/17/16 - Delivered to Chicago lockbox (Day 1)
4/1/16 - Checks cashed (Day 16)
4/4/16 - Emails, messages (3) received (Day 19)

4/11/16 - Hard copies received in mail (Day 26)

5/3/16 - Put in Service Request (Day 48)

Yea it takes about 2 weeks to get a response.

Yes, that's kinda relieving.

I hope to get news by the end of this week. Good or bad, I just want to know at least something, cause i hate this period of waiting when you can't do anything about it. I just feel so miserable.

Welcome to the club, i am sit at home bored. Mine was delivered last thursday. Called uscis today and they said it takes up to 10 days before they send a NOA

well it's been 14 days since they received my docs
