The people who answer the phone are always going to tell you there is nothing wrong with your case which that may be the case... All they can see is basically what you can access on the website and what you see on the case status website but a tier 2 can see allot more than what they can see that's why it's always best to get to a tier 2... Operater told me my case was fine and within normal processing time cause all they can see is the dates I sent stuff in but the tier 2 can see more details and they told me my case is at a stand still due to FBI clearing my background

Thanks for the heads up. Hoping for the best, for all us. Will call them on Friday, just to keep things moving. *crossfingers*

It depends on where is your local office! People who are already being schedule for interview applied on a local office that does not have a lot of demand, meaning is not overwhelmed. I unfortunately applied at THE worse local office EVER lol - Newark NJ, and the waiting time till you actually have the GC in your hands can go to one year+. :ranting:

I know people that applied in Louisiana and the whole process took 3 months. EAD came in the mail a week after the interview lol....

Do not panic, where did you applied?

Hmmm I've never seen this before - when did you put in the service request? It probably just means that nobody has been assigned to look at your request / case just yet. When I put in my service request I was told it could take up to 15 days before I would hear from them in regards to my case so I'm thinking this is "just" a part of those 15 days they have to assign somebody and work on your case. I don't know, I never checked up on the referral number they gave me so I don't know what kind of updates they make in regards to the service request. If it's outside of the 15 days from when you submitted your request, I would definitely contact the USCIS.

Meaning the service request that you submitted are somewhere in the system and no one looked at it yet.

I am having the same message.

I guess we'll just have to wait.

Do not panic, where did you applied?

It's based on your address rather than "where you applied", seeing that we all have to send the documents to a lockbox and from there the paperwork goes to our field offices. Field offices with backlogs are those where they have more immigrants, like Texas, New York, California and such.

Exactly what I meant with your "local office". Yes, we all applied in Chicago, but where you live (your address) is where your application is going. So as I said depends on the demand of your local office, which is based on where you applied from (your address).

In my case I applied from North NJ, one of the worse local offices ever, so I am not expecting for my GC in the near future. As long as I get my ead and parole I am just fine....

In any event, no reason to panic.
