Yay Congrats!!!

------------------------------------------

Hey everyone---I had my biometrics almost a month ago and have not gotten anything in the mail about EAD or interview yet--I JUST checked my case online for the first time and it says this: "

As of June 6, 2016, we are ready to schedule your interview for Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status"

When could I call? How many business days in after biometrics or after filing AOS?

Also, is it this number that I call? 1-800-375-5283

Sorry I know it's questions that have already been answered here but I haven't been able to log in recently.

You just have to wait. It can take a while for them to schedule the interview.

We filed AOS on 4/5 in Chicago lockbox; they received it on 4/8.

Now then I found a new job, and dying for the EAD card. Sent in an online request about a week ago.
No response at all... Have you guys all received the EAD yet?

you can submit a service request on your EAD once it hits 75days which you've past 75days already so i would definately call USCIS... while on the phone to them i would call and ask to talk to a tier 2 officer... thats what i done when i called about a service request on my EAD and it turns out the reason my EAD and i-485 hasnt progressed is cause my status is stuck on background check so nothing can progress until that clears... i would talk to a tier 2 to make sure you background check has cleared before submitting the service request... the service request is pointless if your background check hasnt cleared

No EAD for me yet, and I had biometrics on 4/18. At least my interview has been scheduled, so hopefully I'll have my GC soon and won't need the EAD at all!

If you're past 75 days, I would definitely submit a service request online. They are unpredictable -- sometimes they help, sometimes they don't. But it's worth a try!

Hi everyone, hope all is well. Today it's my 76th Day on EAD, submitted a service request then may be I should just wait. I have a question, i know many of us here went thru this, but just want to know if this the normal way of things:

Last May 12 had my biometrics for I-485 but my online case status never changed - remained "Fingerprint Fee Was Received. But one March 2016 filer said to me that my online case status should change to "Biometrics Taken" since I've had it. Is this something i should be alarmed or follow up at USCIS Customer Service?

Appreciate the help. Thanks a lot. :)

When is your interview date?

July 26. It looks like they're sending interview notices 5 weeks in advance (they sent mine out on June 21st, according to the case tracker).

First I've heard of that status update... My case is stuck on fingerprint fee recieved also I ended up calling Uscis to see why my case hasn't updated in so long and it's cause my case is at stand still cause I havent cleared background check... I would call and talk to be transferred to a tier 2 and ask if there is a reason for the hold up you could be in the position as me that the FBI hasn't cleared your background check... Your I-485 and EAD can't move forward until your cleared Edited by Moslund

Thanks for the replies. I would hope to have my interview scheduled soon. I think i would call USCIS on the 80th day to speak with Tier 2 because I just had a service request placed now (on phone). Didnt ask for tier 2 because I was advised there was nothing wrong with the case, only that the local center processing it is taking more time. I hope I'm right to believe them but may be for benefit of doubt. This is my first time to follow up my EAD and AOS but have been learning a lot from this forum as well.

The people who answer the phone are always going to tell you there is nothing wrong with your case which that may be the case... All they can see is basically what you can access on the website and what you see on the case status website but a tier 2 can see allot more than what they can see that's why it's always best to get to a tier 2... Operater told me my case was fine and within normal processing time cause all they can see is the dates I sent stuff in but the tier 2 can see more details and they told me my case is at a stand still due to FBI clearing my background

From what I've seen on this forum sometimes if the interview comes fairly quickly, they skip issuing your EAD/AP. Saves them an extra step!
