My husband and I decided to pursue a CR-1/IR-1 visa instead of a K-3 since our NOA1 for the I-130 is taking so long to get to me. This is going to sound like a silly question but on the cover letter for the I-130 I wrote that I would eventually file an I-129F for the K-3 visa. Will CSC care now if I don't ever file and let the I-130 take its own course or will I have to inform them that I won't be filing the I-129F after all? I'm thinking I don't have to but I'm checking with you guys just in case.

Thanks everybody!!

I don't think the note will make any difference, if they don't see the I-129F filed after I-130 NOA1, they will continue the process as normal.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

The I-130 and I-129F have no connection. They are for two separate processes. Each will follow their own path. The only time one is effecting the other nowadays is if you have an approved I-129F, the I-130 will be retained assuming that one will adjust status in the US from the K-3. If you don't file the I-129F, the I-130 will process through to an application for the Immigrant Visa and eventual green card.

The cover letter just seems to serve the purpose of the initial sorter to make sure everything is there as they place your application into it's individual folder. Since you don't mention anything related to I-129F on the I-130 application form, there is no impact.

So don't worry...

Best,

/UM
