Hello everyone, I cleared an Immigration Interview for US in 2008 and was allowed to go to US for about 6 months. I did not go at that time because of some problems I was facing. I wanted to ask now that I did clear my interview last time, what steps should I take to go to US again?

Immigrant Visa for United States, by a permanent U.S resident to his relative overseas.

Did your relative apply F2A or F2B visa for you? If you haven't gone to USA for 8 years after your visa is issued, you will have to apply again for the visa.

Ohh, so that is a completely different thing.

Your aunt has to sponsor your mother first. And then your mom can sponsor you.

Is your aunt LPR or USC?

Ok, she has to be an USC, since LPR can't sponsor their siblings.

So the waiting time for your mother is around 13 years.

And then she, as an LPR can sponsor you (but you'll have to stay unmarried).

And the waiting time will be around 7 years.

So your immigration will take around 20 years.

Of course, you can do the Masters in the US, if you have enough funds to do so and find a University to take you in.
