Filed in June and still waiting! PLEASE HELP

My wife filed the "I-130" in June, and we've been waiting for the approval for about 9 months. she called the USCIS like 3 months ago and they told her that it's on hold for security checks, we waited for a month and then called them again so they guy who answered told us no hold no more and our form was being processed, after a month my wife called them again so they told her that our form was on hold for security checks and we need to wait and we received an email says that our form is on hold for security checks and they can't predict anything. after that she called them again and the girl said that our form is no longer on hold. we're confused

and how long do we have to wait until we get approved in the USCIS?

While around 6-9 months for the USCIS portion is normal, it can take longer, especially for males from the Middle East.

but people from Jordan usually get approved in 5-6 months

I think you are over processing time guidelines by USCIS (I haven't looked at them for a while, so I may be wrong!). If you are, you as the USC would try and get your Senator or Congressman involved. They can enquire and may be able to nudge it a bit or at least get an answer why it takes so long.

Maybe there was something wrong with your 130 packet, did you include all papers. I file for my husband in September(egypt) I made sure, double checked, tripled checked, everything was there. I didnt get a lawyer or anything but i had lawyer look at my packet he said it looked good. This process is a headache!

It took the USCIS just under 5 months to approve and send to NVC. From what I read I would assume that something on your 130 was incorrect or you needed more supporting documents. Your congressman can help you expedite once your case is sent to the NVC---and you can too. Try not to worry-and wait and see.

my form was correctly sent and everything is fine with my documents all documents were included unless they would've asked for the missing documents that's what my lawyer told me. although we called them "USCIS" many times and their answers were confusing once they said it was on hold for security checks and sometimes they said it wasn't on hold for security checks! we're clear though.. this is confusing we got our senator involved and they told us they would ask about it again in April!
