ROC after death of USC spouse

Hi everyone.Im under cr 1 visa and my husband passed away last year october 2015..I read to the instruction form I-751 romoval of condition that anytime that spouse died or you are divorce you can remove your condition anytime and no need to wait 90 days before the expiration of your green card.But when i called to USCIS the operator told me that i still need to wait 90 days before my card expired.Is any body same as mine?

To corroborate what others have said, here is the salient portion of the Form I-751 instructions:

1. Filing with a request that the joint ling requirement be waived or individually led. You may le Form I-751 without your spouse if they are deceased, you are divorced, or you and/or your conditional resident child were battered or subjected to extreme cruelty. You may le this petition at any time after you are granted conditional resident status and before you are removed from the United States.

Please be sure to include a copy of your spouse's death certificate with your relationship evidence.
