Recieved NOA2... no news from NVC

Hi!

So we receieved NOA2 on March 08, and neither of us have receieved any more information. From what I've read on this forum, we should be calling the NVC everyday to get an MNL number?

My fiance is Dutch.

Is this correct? am I supposed to call the NVC or do we wait for information?

You're not alone in waiting for a response, they seem to be a bit backlogged.

I'm the 7th of March and haven't heard either, though I know people from the 4th who also haven't.

The latest date I know of someone getting a case number is currently the 4th.

Just call everyday and ask for it, it seems to be taking currently between 14 and 20 working days to get the case numbers.

Oh, and for reference MNL won't be how your number starts, the first 3 letters are the embassy for example London is LND, I believe MNL is Manila.

When you call ask for your case number, I have no idea what 3 letters yours will start with.

Let us know when you get yours, I'm hoping to get mine this week sometime...

called the NVC today, they still havent received our case.... its so hard to wait!!!

Steph, remember the NVC is 5 hours behind GMT, so it's actually only 11.35am there currently. And they don't work weekends.

I also think they process chronologically, so keep an eye on the various Jan threads, and NVC threads and wait for people who got their NOA2's on the 4th and 7th to post saying they've got theirs, then call. Saves some money.

I typically call at 11pm GMT, 6pm NVC (New Hampshire) time.

And you're right, the wait is horrible, especially since a few weeks ago it was less than 2 weeks for the NVC to process, now it looks to be around a month.

I got my NOA2 on Feb 25th Californian time. And I haven't heard anything either... I asked my fiancé to call NVC today. I totally get your feelings because I feel the same way. This long waiting almost drives me crazy. I can't even sleep tonight and it's after midnight in China...

same here, NOA2 on March 4th, NVC hasn't received the packet yet

 

Hey, I called the NVC myself this morning and they said that my case has been forwarded to the Chinese Embassy already. But the status in USCIS website didn't change. I'm still very excited! I got the GUZ case number and I'm waiting for my packet now. Hope you guys hear yours soon.
