My concern now is how to get my daughter-in-law over here for a visit. She may get married this summer - maybe that will make the difference!

You do not, not your issue. Making it your issue will cause problems.

Maybe.....obtaining visitor visas has been easier in the recent past then in prior years.....however with the economic situation now transpiring in Russia, one could make a wager that applications for those will be more closely scrutinized by the Embassy.

The economic reality on the street is far different than the one portrayed by Russian media or even our own. Meaning will applicants really only want to visit or want to jump to a new country?

My wife and I have been married for six years. She is now a US citizen. Her daughter just aged out when we got married. We have an approved petition for her to immigrate to the states if she can waIt the 11 years til a visa is available.

She was disapproved for a visa to attend our wedding, and twice since. The kicker - she is a flight attendant for Air Emirates and travels to virtually every country in the world except here. They wont even grant a crew visa so she can fly here.

The consul told her the sole reason for refusal is because we are here.
