I already have my K1 Visa and Im scheduled to have my CFO seminar on Thursday.. I forgot to have a copy of my cenomar and if Im going to get a new one I wont have it before my seminar. Do they ask for cenomar? its not written in their requirements but Im worried that they might ask for it?

Sorry but it is a requirement. Always make many copies of your important documents. Have a few official copies. Don't give out originals unless necessary. Your are going to need copies of many of the docs once in the USA so get them now.

Required documents - "OTHER DOCUMENTS" they ask for at CFO

Filipina: 2X2 passport photo (Filipina), originals & copies of; CENOMAR (CEMAR and marriage certificate if married), certified birth certificate. Passport and copies of bio page of passport, visa page from passport, pictures together.

USC: (copies of) - bio page of passport, birth certificate, divorce decree (if been married before) are the most common requests. (USC if you have never been married before CFO has been asking for a copy of the tax return as your tax return will show "filing as Single" - if you provide that to CFO then for sure BLACKEN OUT YOUR SSN and other vital info that should not be made public.

Thank you Cristina! I will get another copy in QC tomorrow. I just got the one I submitted at USEM in QC last February and it took them 1 week before they release. I will try to ask them to prioritize. Thank you so much. Edited by Doug&Rhea

You lucked out but your experience was not normal from CFO. That is the problem with this entire process you never know if they will stick to their own written requirements so prepared.

You're right Greenbaum, it depends on the officer.. there is also one K1 that's is missing divorce papers and she let her go because her flight is the next Day. But there is 2 others thats missing something they need to comeback for their certificate.. Its better to be prepared, than trying your luck..
