Very nice topic !

It's the same day for Palestine, also (I believe) for Bahrain, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, and Yemen

Other ME/NA Mother's Days (and for some of the neighboring countries with members that visit here)

Shevat 30 (falls anywhere between January 30 and March 1) for Israel

March 8th for Algeria and Albania (coincides with International Women's Day)

May 8th for Albania (Parents' Day)

May 10th for Oman, Pakistan, and Qatar

May 13th for Bangladesh and Turkey

20th Jumada al-thani for Iran and many Shi'a -- this is the (disputed) date of the birthday of Fatima Zahra (the Islamic calendar is lunar so it cycles relative to the Western calendar.)

Too bad what happened to a once thriving VJ but hardly a surprise

al Nakba 1948-2015
66 years of forced exile and dispossession

Thanks for the reminder Moody! I knew it was coming up but I wasn't sure if it was March or May. I normally send my future MIL something from this site www.asfory.com and I have never had a gift not get there. Too, their shipping is very reasonable as are the prices IMHO.
