Our case is a reaffirmed case by uscis. We are stuck at nvc since last Nov . I call every week, initially I was told we are on necessary administrative processing n no specific time frame. Last week, called twice n was told supervisor review ,though I never asked requested for such n was told is gonna take the 42 days starting 15th March. My question is can I go ahead and sought for an immigration lawyers help or contact my senator or house member. You advise will highly appreciated.

If you are in AP, there is nothing a lawyer, or a senator or house member can do. All they are able to do is inquire on your behalf. You have already done that yourself. There is no way to speed them up, or demand they make a decision. AP takes as .long as it takes. The only other thing you an do is wait.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

The NVC rep put you on supervisor review because of your calls. There is nothing you can do now but wait the 42 days for the supervisor review timeframe to be up. If it takes longer than 42 days, wait a few extra days before calling them. If they still tell you that your case is being reviewed, contact your Senator. But wait at least 50 days or something from March 15th, don't rush it on day 42.

We were stuck at NVC for eight months, four of those we spent being stuck at supervisor review. We had to involve our Senator to get our case completed.

robinanis are you still here since your reaffirmation in January 2016? UNBELIEVABLE !!!! Why? and what happened since then? Yes USCIS sends an approval notice after reaffirmation and NVC too will notify you about it when they receive the reapproved case from USCIS. That is the process...That what happened in our case and we are now at NVC waiting to be called at the Embassy for 2nd Interview.
