Timeline

My friend and her fiance want to start the K1 visa process but their relationship is still new not even a year..As far as I know the relationship should be at least 2 years right?

No, you are misunderstanding the requirement. They must have met in person within the last two years. They don't need to have been in a relationship for over two years.

:thumbs: They can technically apply after one day of having a relationship, as long as they have physically met and have proof of that.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

Yes they can still apply. I had only been dating my fiance for about a month after we fell and love and decided to get engaged. Process is going ahead so far! Good luck! Just as long as they can provide pictures, evidence of their relationship ect. :)

Thanks! I'll let her know.. I'm not so familiar.In my case we hire lawyer to do the process..
