You have a good list. Every couple - especially one with a child - needs to have wills and Medical Powers of Attorney. These surely add to your list - but more importantly - even if you have very little in the way of assets, you need to have these documents for your life!

Good luck!

Yes I have it together with my IRS papers. Wow,congratulations. Did you have any interview for your 10yr gc?

Your list is good.

I agree with Sukie. Try including healthcare power of attorneys and/or wills. The HPOAs are available online, forms vary by state. Wills can be made via websites such as legalzoom.com.

Thanks for the response, do I need to pay to get HPOA? I was thinking if these are enough evidences then I won't bother getting it. Is that necessary to get one if you have a child? Or it's ok to not have it? As long as is not mandatory then I won't bother getting it.

Good thing we did not have any interview. :dancing: We had RFE though, due to emergency circumstances (I won't say its my stupidity) we both missed to include Apartment lease and Tax transcripts although it all prepared. tsk tsk :sleepy: But I think it was blessing in disguise, because my husband filed mistakenly (he didn't include my W2's information and we used TurboTax last 2014 so we had to amend it. I realized that when I got the RFE and re-check everything.

But everything was all worth it because you don't have any interview, much of a hassle if you have RFE and interview. By the way I reported my marriage at Philippine embassy in LA, do you think I can include that in my evidences too?

You can do so, but that has no bearing for approval. I haven't changed my maiden name due to my properties back home, my profession license, banks. I get lazy to change whenever I think about it. I am still debating myself to use my husband's name or just do hyphenated name since I am allowed to apply N400 this coming 15th of May.

Yes you can include the evidence of reporting your marriage at Philippines. If you have some sort of marriage certificate from the Philippines, you can include that.

HPOAs are not mandatory but are good to have for life, especially when you have a family. It's always useful to have your personal health needs and wills in writing when living in the U.S. It's up to you if you don't want to include them for ROC but do consider studying about them in your spare time.

Thanks for the info. Sure I will read about it.
