Does anybody have any experience about how long it normally takes the tax transcript to arrive after requesting them on IRS.gov?

I am currently in Delaware and I requested the transcript online on Mar 16. Haven't got anything in mail yet. Wondering if it is normal.

It is tax season so expect things to take longer then usual. going to irs office is a good idea but don't be surprise if there is a long wait before you're helped. it is tax season after all.

No. Just walk in. I went back in January and walked out 30 minutes later (I was about 4th in line at that time) with 3 copies of the last 3 years of transcripts. But like was posted above, expect longer wait times by mail and in the office because it is tax season.

We ordered ours through the internet site and received them in about 10 days. If you go into the Tax Office to get them printed out, arrive early in the morning...by afternoon you'll be waiting a long time.

Not sure where you are but the Chicago office requires an appointment unless you go in there and they're "not busy..." That's what the lady told me when I went to get mine. Luckily she "wasn't busy." :D

No walk ins here in NY. They told to fix an appointment but no dates available for the next 2 weeks, so he suggested to call 1800 829 0922 and they might fax the tax transcript.was on hold for half an hour or so and finally got the faxed copy of tax return transcripts.
