So we now have case complete since March 11th, We received an email saying

"18-MAR-16

Dear Sir/Madam,

The National Visa Center (NVC) received all the requested documentation for this immigrant visa case. The applicant is now in the queue awaiting an interview appointment overseas, where a consular officer will adjudicate the applicant’s visa application."

And so on.......Now on our timelines here on VJ I can see where people have a date that they received "interview instruction and appointment letter" I am assuming we will get another letter telling us what date they have scheduled for us correct?

Most people timelines are moving pretty fast from case complete to interview letter and I am just wondering if maybe I need to be calling nvc again to be sure they have not left out an email to me. I know it is so very rare that NVC could make a mistake, like forgetting to send an email or losing a document or anything else right? lol

You should expect to get an interview schedule letter from the USEM in about 2 weeks with an interview date 5-6 weeks later, so about 8 weeks after the nvc letter. That will give you plenty of time to get the slec medical, cfo counseling if you want to do it before visa approval, and gather the different docs that the embassy says you will need.

Be advised that the visa expiry date will be 6 months after the medical completion date not visa approved date. Also remember to get a cenomar/cemar with your married name. Probably late advice at this time but I hope your wife's current passport is with your surname not her maiden name. Makes establishing her US identity much easier.

Cool, Yea all that is done, name change years ago, cemar/cenomar already have, cfo is done at the same time as name change, was just curious about the interview appointment and if we should be calling and looking for a lost email yet, sounds like we should not be worried yet. thanks
