So before going to them in the morning, we need this form, https://www.ssa.gov/forms/ss-5.pdf, and fill this out https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/consent.html (online only, right?). Do we need both?

I was reading on the PDF this:

"If you are not a U.S. citizen, we must see your current U.S. immigration document(s) and your foreign passport with biographical information or photograph"
The part I am not sure of is what "immigration documents" they also want? Is it just the I94? Is it something I have? What else do we need to prove that we are together in this?
Thanks.

The immigration document is the K-1 visa that is already in the passport.

All you need is the SSN application form (ss-5.pdf) along with the beneficiary's foreign passport and I-94... nothing else.

You should also take a certified copy of your birth certificate.

Any idea why it would not pull up her records, saying "not found"? Is there a time to wait? I took an unpaid morning off to get this done today, and we can not because nothing happens when entering her information for the I-94.

I try get my I-94 just to check if the website was working and was ok here. When did the person arrive to the US?

I have a question myself.

After get my SSN under my old name and then get married the next steps should be change the name in the SSN and at same time fill and send the I-485/I-765/I-131 and all the other documents under the new name?

If you know that you're entering the correct information into the I-94 site but it isn't coming up, you must visit a CBP Deferred Inspection office to get the issue resolved.

It's possible they entered the wrong information at PoE, and they're the only ones who can fix it.

We got the info, but what we had to do was change, on the website selection, her passport's issued country from Singapore, where she got it while living there, to Philippines. It worked. We got the pages. The only issue with the print outs now is that the given name on the form only has one part of her first name, For example, if her first name is Mary Lou, they only have Mary on it. Along with last name. Of course, her middle name not present either. Is this going to be an issue? Her full name is on the SSA application form as it should be.

Thanks.

"Issued country" means the country whose government issued the passport, which is not necessarily the same as the country in which you were living at the time you received the passport.

The name on the I-94 needs to match the name you will be using on the SSA application form. If they don't match, the application will probably fail and go to manual verification, which will be (i) slow (as in, weeks), and (ii) not guaranteed to be successful prior to her I-94 expiring.

Well, the I94 has her name wrong. Not her fault. So who do I call in this 24/7 world of me wanting answers now to get this fixed?

Your nearest CBP Deferred Inspection office, as I linked above.

Man, that means another unpaid morning. People at my temp job going to get suspicious.... no one knows anything in order for me to keep my job. I have to find a way to call because this bothers me. Her point of entry was in Detroit, Michigan. Her final arrival was Raleigh, NC. Hate to go there to the airport and find out that she has to go to Detroit, which worse is near impossible as I have nothing left to pay. So I am hoping now going to the airport is all we have to do, but then I have to take another morning off to do SSA.

What I am wondering is how her name is, is how we have names like Mary Ellen or Mary Lou or Mary Jane. Her first name has two parts, and they dropped one. Since her middle is not on the I94 either, and could not enter it in on the site, maybe they find this error of theirs minimal since American people do not know how to decipher her first name properly, but the only way to know is to make calls I have no time to make. Do not want to go back and pay (gas, time, parking) to access the airport, and find out did not have to go there.

There has got to be easier ways to do these things. This government is so messed up.

Thanks for all your info. I need to spend my day digging for more....

I think some deferred inspection offices are open on the weekends. It's not only in Detroit... Look up the link Hypnos posted.

I have, and the closest is the airport to me, RDU, and not on weekends. I believe I stated that so I need to figure out more what to do.
