My husband's visa finally changed to "Issued" yesterday! I haven't received any email regarding a DHL tracking number tho. When and where do you receive a #? I've been checking the ais.usvisa-info.com website but it doesn't seem to be updated (still says "send documents") but CEAC site says "Issued: Visa has been printed and will be delivered bla bla bla..."

I read that it can also be tracked by "shipper's reference number" but I have no idea where to find that either.

Anyone know?

I just went through this mess. In Peru, I didn't actually get a tracking number until about 2 hours after my picked up his passport from DHL. He just happened to call the local office and discover that his passport was sitting there. You can try calling the embassy or whatever phone number they offer. But we got no where, keep checking with the DHL office it is being sent to.

Thanks! I'm having a hard time finding the number for that specific DHL office. All I have is the main 1-800 number :( My husband left Juarez because he was stuck in Admin. Processing for a few weeks and the hotel bill was running high. So he has to fly back to pick it up, but he doesn't want to go until we're sure it's ready. I'll try harder to find the local number I guess. Thanks for your reply!

Good luck! It is frustrating. We never found that number either, my husband would just call and ask if they had anything for him. The 1-800 number may be able to give you a local number for the office you are looking for. Good luck, it will show up...don't worry :clock:

If I'm not mistaken the Consulate is closed today and tomorrow for Samana Santa (Easter) Holidays. Our interview and approval was on March 15th and the ais-usvisa web site wasn't updated with the tracking number for another 3 days after the interview.

I posted a photo of what the ais-visa web site will look like after they update it with the 'Waybill Number' aka Tracking Number. Click on the link below to the forum feed where I posted the photo.

P.S.

Even after the Juarez Consulate created the shipping label and updated the AIS-USVISA Web Site it still took a few more days for the Visa's to actually get sent to DHL and mailed out because if you remember, Monday March 21st was also a Holiday, Benito Juarez Day and the Consulate was closed then too. So they are only working 2 days this week (Tuesday and Wednesday) and I'm sure they are backed up because of it. I know when I come into the office after a 3 day holiday it takes me a few days to get caught up again.

Here's how our timeline went for the Visa after approval.

March 15th: Visa's Approved

March 18th: AIS-USVISA Web Site updated to show tracking number AKA Waybill #

March 22nd: Shipment Picked up by DHL at 10:31AM

March 23rd: Package Arrived at DHL office that we selected for our pickup location at 10:17AM (24 hours later)

March 23rd: Package Picked up and Signed for by my Fiancee: 12:00PM (2 hours later)

My Fiancee opened up the DHL Envelope only. Inside was her Passport and a Sealed Envelope. Do not open up the Sealed Envelope!!!!

Thank you! I forgot about Semana Santa. The link to the pic was very helpful as is the timeline. In our case he received a 221g letter at the interview because we needed to bring more financial info. After submitting the requested info he was stuck in Admin Processing for a few weeks. Now that it says Issued I'm hoping it goes just as quickly as it would have had everything been approved at the interview.

How long did it take for them to issue the VISA after the interview? Then how long did it take for the DHL to deliver it to your location? Thanks!

Waiting on tracking number we had the interview yesterday. when was your interview?

Trying to figure this out myself, so will update when I receive my tracking. We opted for pickup at the Lima Document Service Center hoping that it'll be faster as it's directly next to the embassy.

Just wanted to provide an update for the next person doing this process in Lima, Peru. We received our visa in hand after 3 days. We choose the Lima Document Service Center as the pick up location since it was directly next to the embassy. If you choose DHL it might take longer. We received an email telling us it was ready for pickup. The website stays as appointment, however, it does update with a tracking number. We received our email 3 PM Lima time. Good luck to everyone doing this process in the future! Happy to answer any questions and assist those in need in the future, just DM me!

Hi, I’m wondering how long it took you to get you appointment date after CC. I’m also waiting for an appointment in Lima.
