Hi,

I have everything ready to send form I-751 with all supporting docs. The only thing remaining is the tax transcript. I ordered one by phone 8 days ago but didnt get it yet. I am getting nervous because I have 40 days left to send this. I was wondering if I should just send what HR block gave me. (joint filing with my wife).

Thanks,

I am moving to a different state in 2 weeks but I want to file the I-751 before that. I was wondering if I should do that or move and then file. I only have 40 days left to file.

You can go ahead and file. If you know your future address use it, if not, you may want to use someone's address that you trust to get your mail until you have the opportunity to file the change of address form with the USCIS.

I would file and indicate my new address in the mailing address.

Yes, i dont know the address yet. That's the problem. I thought you had to report a change of address. I guess I can put an address in the I-751 form and then submit the change of address form?

Also, I am submitting to New york but I am moving to Seattle. I remember that you had to send stuff to different addresses depending on your state. Should I send as if i am in Seattle or New York?

Can you not try going to your local IRS office and ask them to print it along with your W2's? They can print it right away same day you go there.

We did ours that way.

You can go to your local IRS office and they will print the transcript for you. Those will have more weight than the HR Block returns.

I agree: I'd wait the 2 weeks until you know the address where you're moving, file the change of address form, then file the I-751.

If the service centers are different for the two states, that would explain why the wait was long. Especially, if a CSC case is transfered to VSC. In his case, moving from NY to WA is to his advantage. His case will be transfered from VSC (10-11 month wait) to CSC (5-6 month wait). if i were him, I'd wait and file after moving. You are not gaining any time by sending your package to VSC. Edited by charmander

No, same center and it is CSC. Crazy right? It took her 11 months without RFE. (I was referring to my wife's friend process)

Hi,

I am about to send the I-751 to remove conditions on my greencard. I am starting a new job in April but my greencard expires in May. Does this mean I can not work? I am submitting everything in April so the conditions are removed.
