hi every one, i know there are people over here who are members of vj for many years,i need advice pls

i have been given white 221 g with no further docs being asked from us, just been told it will take 1 month until we hear from them.but we are here waiting till now,

its been nearly a week short in my 6 months of AP. I know and understand that AP lasts forever,if not than but for many months and years.

but in light of your experience does any one on here know the maximum time length of k-1 case in AP,which u came across.

may every one AP gonna over soon and start their life with loved ones. Amen

thanks for taking your time ..peace x

I was issued 221g white slip for additional administrative processing at islamabad embassy in CR1 category.VO asked for to wait for one month and gave white slip 221g ticked with additional administrative processing.

Please comment what are signs and chances?

My passport and pics and medical was kept by VO.

Dates updated four times within three weeks on my status.

Unfortunately, there is no minimum or maximum time for AP. What happens in the AP process is a mystery and there doesn't seem to be a pattern. It can last weeks, months and up to years. Males tend to have longer APs and in light of what has happened here in the US, visas from Muslim countries are going to be even more scrutinzed. The best thing you can do is check in with the embassy once a month to check on the progress of your case. You can do this either by email or through a congressional liason. My personal experience was an AP that lasted almost 2 years.

There is no typical AP processing length. I have seen cases where it has lasted for years-for K1 and CR1 cases. Since you have received this email reply, this means they are getting ready to print your visa-otherwise they send you a typical form email that says your case is undergoing administrative review and they will contact you if they need anything.

This is the standard form response to which I was previously referring. You may have a shorter wait ahead of you or a longer wait ahead of you, and there is no reliable way for anyone on here to predict which is the case. Just email them once a month to keep in touch.
