Hello all,

My fiance just received her approval at the US Embassy in Guangzhou, China yesterday. (-: I just wanted to let anyone who is new or thinking about doing the K1 through China that it took us exactly 6 months from receipt of NOA1 to interview approval. This was very fast to say the least and we even had a RFE back in November!! If you want a more specific timeline check mine out. I would be happy to answer any questions you might have or be of any assistance if needed. I didn't post anything during our process and I should have but I'm here now. BTW, we did use an attorney for most of the paperwork and I would highly recommend this. I couldn't justify NOT spending the extra money for this service considering how important it is but that is just my opinion!

I-129F NOA1 received on 10-01-2015

I-129F RFE received on 11-09-2015

RFE replied to on 11-23-2015

I-129F NOA2 received on 12-10-2015

NVC received on 12-22-2015

Date case #, IIN, and BIN assigned on 12-24-2015

Left the NVC on 12-30-2015

US Consulate in China received on 01-06-2016

Packet 3 received on 01-13-2016

Packet 3 sent on 01-20-2016

Packet 4 received on 02-19-2016

Interview date is scheduled for 03-24-2016 (7:45am China time!)

K1 Visa approved!!!!!!!!!

Waiting for actual visa right now!

My Fiance and I have just started the process of bringing her from China, so this is encouraging. I can't wait to be in your position.

Congratulations!! our I-129F was approved on March 4th, currently waiting for NVC case number.

Same here, NOA2 date March 14th. and the only way to get the mvc number is by calling them, right? I need to update beneficiary's mail address as well.
