Thats what I plan to do, but still means I need the forms all filled and checked by April 18th.

Does anyone know if the date is set in stone. Like if im 1 days late is it greencard denied?

I wouldn't take that risk - to be late. Even if it's 1 day...

Usually USCIS goes by Post Marks, so use the POST OFFICE to send this, NOT FED-EX, and over night express mail.

Thanks. Well as soon as I have my medical complete, Im heading to the Post office. The only delay might be waiting for TD skin tests to come back.. Lets see what happens on tuesday..

Thanks

Td skin test doesn't take long. Usually about 3-5 days. But TB QuantiFerron test is the longest one. About 10 days.

Anyway, they don't need to mail your I-693 - they have to complete and give it to you when you show up to check on your tests.

I know, right now it's hard to take a RFE as a good sign :) but RFE also means your case has been "touched" and they have been working on this. Usually it takes them 1-2 months to make a decision after receiving the response to RFE.

You should be fine!

I hope so. I was distraught when I got it. Additionally the fact I have not splash out 300+ bucks for all this.

Will I need the TB QuantiFerron ? Is that a standard for the I-693?

I dont think I will get the decision after that. Probably an interview confirmation

Thanks for your help. Will update this after medical..

I understand.. I had to pay "double", for both, K1 and K2, so...

"On November 1, 2009, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) updated the Tuberculosis Component of the Technical Instructions for the Medical Examination of Aliens in the United States (May 2008) (available on CDC's website at www.cdc.gov/ncidod/dq/civil.htm). This update makes the traditional Tuberculin Skin Test (TST), and as of November 1, 2009, the QuantiFERON®-TB Gold (QFT-G) Test, the QuantiFERON®- TB Gold in Tube (QFT-G IT) test, and the T-Spot TB test available for TB testing. USCIS anticipated this change and made the necessary amendments to Form I-693, Report of Medical Examination and Vaccination Record."

Which one will you take? It depends on a medical clinic. Some still take a TB skin test, but a lot of them have switched it to a QFT (QuantiFerron TB test). You can check it with your medical place what test they do.

QFT is a controlled laboratory test that requires only one patient visit and is unaffected by previous vaccination with Bacille-And. So, yes, as far as I know, USCIS is more than happy with this :)

Yes, please, keep updated :)

One more time - good luck!!!

Ah gotcha. Thanks very much! Will let you know post medical on tuesday what test I had and how long I have to wait.

Oh man suddenly my one medical doesn't seem so bad - is there nothing people can do to avoid this? I mean how bad of a system is it, when official government agencies lose vital immigrant information??? It just boggles my mind

Thanks again!
