Can we expedite the K1 Visa process?

Agreed with the comments. If you are not overstaying, and you were planning to get married, Apply for a Marriage License (Your fiancé). You only have to show your passport at the courthouse. Usually take a week to get the License, but some states allow you to expedite the process. once you have the License, Schedule a date and you can get married at the courthouse. Once you get your certificate of Marriage you can apply for a AOS right away.

You can wait til later to import your car. I did. But your plan to have a friend drive your car down with all of your worldly belongings may backfire, as it may look like YOUR FRIEND is planning to immigrate illegally with all of THEIR worldly belongings. The friend might get denied at the border and may get restrictions or a ban on future visits.

Yeah, I agree with this.

That's why we're going to hold off.

Thank-you.

Does anyone know how we would go about withdrawing the K1 Visa?
I understand that we have to write some form of letter with a reason why..

I don't really know what to put it in said letter due to my circumstance...

Should I withdraw first?

Or is it okay to get married and withdraw from said K1 petition in the mean time?

As I am hiring an attorney (I know that everyone is all about saving money - so am I, haha. But my fiance's mom is insistent that she will pay for us.)

The attorney stated that I should withdraw my K1 petition.

I don't know if it's due to me being so burnt out, but I honestly have no idea how to begin this process.

I attempted to browse the forums and came up with little. (I -have- to be looking in the wrong places, haha.)

From what I have found on the forums, I came up with answers in regards to that the petitioner needs to write a letter, asking to withdraw from the K1 petition.

Does he NEED to provide a reason behind this?

IF someone can give me an idea as to how we go about writing this letter, this would be immensely helpful.

I also read somewhere that it needs to be notarized?

Also, in our panic due to the mystery of my living situation my fiance (the petitioner) had called NCSC (It think that's what it's called) and asked for the K1 petition to be expedited, prior to finding out about AOS option. They informed him he would receive an email if it is to be declined or approved in 4-5 business days.

Can he just call in again and cancel the expedition?

I feel like we've messed up and I'm so worried about everything. :l

You do not need to give a reason. The USC petitioner just needs to state they wish to withdraw it.

https://www.uscis.gov/forms-filing-tips#Withdrawing

Withdrawing Your Application or Petition

Write to the USCIS service center or field office processing your case to withdraw your application or petition.

Do not send your request to a Lockbox facility as your case is no longer with the Lockbox.

The way it was being said was kinda funny, but has very good point about the belongings. Your friend can just keep your belongings and once you're done with the process, go back to Canada and get it.

Let your attorney give you an advice about it since your Fiance's mom will shoulder the expenses. Good luck with your journey. :dancing:

i used Jill Apa for my N400 application. She's with Barclay Damon in Buffalo. She was great and wasn't too expensive.
