They are closed on March 24 and 25 but open on the 23rd.

Don't recommend to have someone call for something so mundane as operational hours. They will be tying the phone lines up when someone with a more pressing issue can't get through. The OP should have googled for his answer. I did for him and I got the answer in 30 seconds.

Yes of course I googled, I found US Embassy 2016 holiday schedule which only shows March 24 as start of holiday. Then I also found elsewhere that they are closed on March 23, 2016.

So I was google confused and decided to turn to my VJ friends and ask them. I also seen here on VJ that someone had interview scheduled for 23rd in Manila??????

So yes, I have done my research my friends, and no Im not going to call for the reason stated above

Did you try my link. I got it from USEM where you will see that it does not mention they are closed on the 23rd. Anyway .... you have your answer.

Manila declares March 23 a nonworking holiday

MANILA, Philippines -- In observance of the Holy Week, the local government of Manila City declared Wednesday, March 23 a nonworking holiday.

Mayor Joseph Ejercito Estrada has declared that 23 March 2016, Holy Wednesday, is a nonworking holiday in the city, said city government administrator Ericson Alcovendaz in a memorandum dated March 10, 2016.

The holiday is to allow all city employees to have more time to prepare for the Holy Week.

With the declaration, Manila City will have a longer long weekend as March 24 (Maundy Thursday) and March 25 (Good Friday) are already declared national regular holidays by virtue of Proclamation 1105 signed by President Benigno Aquino III last year.

Various government agencies are on heightened alert already to ensure the safety of the public traveling to provinces via land, air and sea.

Did you try my link. I got it from USEM where you will see that it does not mention they are closed on the 23rd. Anyway .... you have your answer.

Ok, Greenbaum my good VJ friend and expert whom I've always trusted and followed your advice from NOA2. You are correct again! I was just a little confused because of the article I found saying the Holiday was declared by Mayor to start on 23rd.

Now I Know for a fact they are open because I just checked our CEAC Status and it just changed 10 minutes ago from "AP" to "ISSUED"

Yeah, the Embassy determines what holidays they will be closed long in advance. It's unusual for them to close just because the Philippine government decides to make a nonworking holiday. If so, they would post a big notice on their website like Greenbaum pointed out.

Congrats!!! That's fantastic news. I wish you all the best. Yes, the City of Manila stands on its own and does not declare holidays for the Philippines nor for the United States.
