USCIS cancelled my ROC interview

Hey guys,

So I sent my ROC papers in August and trust me we had enough documents and prove. I didn't get any RFEs or anything but was called for an interview. I thought it was weird because we sent enough prove etc.

My interview date is March 23d, which is tomorrow. I just got a call from the officer's assistant saying that my interview was cancelled and the officer is going to review the case without the interview. I asked if it was a good or bad thing, and he said it happens a lot and it might be good since I don't have to have an interview.

He told me that I'll be receiving a letter with further instructions. He didn't say if I'm going to get approved, or get RFE or get called for a new interview.

Did that happen to anyone before?

Moonski - Eventhough its indicated a good sign but you should still go to interview and confirm with IO unless you have a letter from USCIS stated no need for an interview. At this point you don't want to miss any chances or surprises. You wouldn't want any bad news for not coming for an interview.

Yeah Moonski, I agree with the last comment. It's a sign of good news, but you should have collected the name and id number of the officer that called you. The USCIS can be so inept, that you have to document every correspondence you have with them as much as possible. If you didn't collect the name and id number today, you might want to call or go for the interview to confirm that the call wasn't a mistake.
