Does the processing time between I130 NOA1 and NOA2 depend on beneficiary's country?

I was browsing vj timelines and it seems that for some countries the average processing time is lower than others ie. 60 or 90 days between NOA1 and NOA2. Is that really the case or am I misunderstanding something?

That depends on the Service Center you have i.e. CSC (California) or VSC (Vermont)

Okay thanks. But why are some cases processed in 30 days while others take 150 days or even more?

if your case is sent to Nebraska (NSC ) then it would take min 5 month for noa 2

if its California i have seen people getting noa 2 in 2 months

Yes but some cases within the nebraska office that have been filed during the same time have longer waiting periods. Why does this happen? Does it also depend on the country.

For example I submitted my case in november i still haven't received an noa2 yet some people who have filed after me or around the same time as me have received their noa2

When i was looking at the timeline, the Philippines got approved in a month or much shorter time than others. No matter what service center they had.

Looking at some recent approvals, some Nebraska files are being approved faster than California files. California was, until recently, generally quicker than the others.

I always discount the Philippines files when looking at stats. Petitions for Philippines beneficiaries are often processed faster due to an agreement that was put in place after the bad typhoon a few years ago. How long that agreement will remain in place is anyone's guess.

However, I have seen later November I-130 filing dates approved from Nebraska recently than from California. Maybe Nebraska is speeding up?

It depends on the workload, how many people filed around the same time as you, staffing levels in the service centre, absenteeism, how complex each case is and so on. Some background checks may take longer than others. As with every job, some employees naturally work faster than others.

mine got receipted today and sent to Nebraska ... I'm hoping they have sped up!

I am not 100% about this.....I have noticed that if file from abroad you get faster approval......Someone suggested that cases that are filed from abroad are auto-expedite .

Thanks for that. I've just read the forum topic on applying from abroad and yes it seems that way for many ... fingers crossed then as it will help balance out the heartbreak I felt when I saw "nebraska" on my USCIS routing lol. They don't have the best reputation. Maybe applying from abroad will help balance out their scary timeframes ;-)

It is hard to understand which service center is the fastest.....I think it is a guess. Regardless I wish you the best in your journey IMHO I think this is a case by case basis. What seems to be the case for one, isn't true for the other.
