I am sending in I-864 and have a question. I file my taxes every year. I have gathered the last three years transcripts and 1040's. My last years income was actually $ -340. I do have significant liquid assets, which I am sending statements for. Will I still have to provide a co-sponsor?

CR-1 Visa

USCIS

7/27/15 Sent I-130 package to Chicago Lock box

7/29/15 NOA1, TSC

10/7/15 Entered USA for three weeks to close escrow and pack house

12/5/15 Entered USA for 90 days to visit

12/7/15 I-130 approved,NOA2

NVC

12/23/15 NVC received package

1/5/2016 Called NVC

1/7/2016 Called NVC, assigned case # and IIN #

1/7/2016 Assigned choice of agent

1/7/2016 Paid AOS fees

1/21/2016 Paid packet IV fees

2/20/2016 Filed DS-260

3/30/2016 Sent NVC package

4/5/2016 NVC received package

5/5/2016 Email from NVC...case complete with interview date 6/17

6/10/2016 Medical

6/17/2016 Interview - Approved :)

Are you a wage/salary earner? If so, what is your current, annualized income? If that meets the requirement then assets shouldn't be needed.

For assets be sure to follow the valuation instructions from the I-864.

No I don't have employment per say. I am an investor and have been carrying losses forward. I have all tax schedules with the 1040"s. 2015 taxes only show about 15K on line 22 but I am still waiting for the K-1's on the s-corps. I will file by April 15....I hope. I think I read that that the asset level must be 5x the poverty level. My liquid assets are way above that benchmark.
