Live in Killeen TX and need help doing first income tax. My spouse's accountant does not know anything about filing Resident Alien tax return. Have foreign income from Canada. any suggestions or referrals for a good tax accountant would be appreciated.

If you live in Texas it should be even easier due to the fact that there is no State return for Texas (no income tax) - so all you need is a Federal return.

What kind of Canadian income do you have? Is it self-employment, rental income, employer, etc.?

I have pension income from Canada and a wage loss replacement income. I arrived in Oct 2015 and qualify to file as a Resident Alien jointly with my spouse. I understand I have to declare world wide income on the US return but don't know how to do that and do not wish to be taxed twice as I also have to file in Canada. Would appreciate any referral to a good tax account familiar with Foreign income.
