Seriously troubling that a school system can't determine the appropriate action for a six year old taking candy. The security guard should not have even been involved in something like this.

I'd wouldn't expect an apology if a school security guard did that to my kid. Then again, it not easy for someone to apologize when their jaw is wired shut.

I agreed with you on the need to go after employers who hire unauthorized workers too. If you like your salads to be mostly meat, we can agree on that too. Never met anyone I can't agree with once in a while.

I agree. It's strange though that the security guard said he's doing his job and teaching her a lesson. Shouldn't be his job to teach lessons. They already have people in school to do that. There was failure at all levels here, not just the guard.

Taking things is part of normal child development. Obviously you have to teach kids right from wrong, but this was abuse, not teaching.
