I would include exactly what's in your signature. I think the question is referring to the times when you physically saw each other, not just how you first met. So the fact that you spent another 3 months with him is really good to put down.

I added a supplemental sheet for this question and explained how we initially met online and then how we met when I went to her country for a visit.

I wrote out a supplement and described the night we met and the amount of time we are spending together ever since. Mine is a bit different since we live in the same country right now so I can't give travel dates and such.

I probably gave them more of a love story than they needed to know...but I guess I wanted them to see how genuine my feelings are for him. I think other people have been successful with a much simpler explanaition though.
