I'm currently in Ghana. Been here about a month now because my fiancé interview is in a few weeks. By reading some other post I was under the impression I would be able to attend the interview with my fiancé. But a few days ago, I browsed the website for U.S. Embassy Ghana and it states I cannot attend and will not be allowed into the building. Can someone shine some light on this topic for me? Please only reply if you have been able to actually attend the scheduled interview with your fiancé in Ghana. Thank you so much!!

Also to clarify, I just went to look and I believe you were reading from non-immigrant visa page .... So I think all who are petitioners for immigrant petition based visas can enter.

Good luck to you all and all fingers cross for you I have been praying for you and I want Monday to hurry up because I can't wait to hear your approval good luck once again

Hey everyone ; so currently sitting outside the embassy . I was not let in. And when I say tried everything, they still said no . All the security guards are my friends now but that could not get me in . The rules have changed and citizens can longer go in but have to have an appointment already set . I called and spoke to someone and they said petitioner won't be allowed in unless the consular asks for them so that's the answer . I told my fiancé to mention it and hopefully it works in our favor . Waiting patiently for our approval ! Keep praying . My fiancé has been in there for about 4 hours and since I made inside guard friends they said for me to hold tight and that he hasn't been called yet. Maybe if the USC makes an appointment for the same time they can try to go but don't think that's a good idea either

You wold have to make appointment for official citizen business. Anything else they will throw you out. Like passport issues. A crisis of safety. Not making a appointment and think you can just sit up in their with your love ones. That won;t fly. best to just be outside.

But be sure to give your passport over to your hunny and when he hands over hos passport yours is there and they know you are outside,

WOW! It's not good sitting outside. I know you can make an appointment online as a US citizen and get in walking around the corner to the door for citizens only and inside is the same waiting room with different windows where you can find your fiance, I went once when I was in Accra indicating in the subject others, filling up the form online, receiving approval online and going with the printing. I am not sure if it work for the fiance interview and the embassy will give you the same day appointment but it worth to try.

Good luck to you, praying you get the visa approved today.

Tasha
