Hello all!

We just received our NOA2 last week and are currently waiting on our NVC case number. I've been trying to get a general idea of what current wait times are for Vancouver interviews but I'm not having much luck. I did find wait times on the consulate site, but it's saying 3 days, which shocked me so I'm wondering if maybe I'm looking in the wrong place. If it is 3 days, fantastic, but I'm mentally prepared for a longer wait. I've searched a good bit (both the forum and Google) so if I'm missing something obvious please feel free to point me in the right direction.

Thanks!

Vancouver only has K1 interviews on a Tuesday. So if you are flying in and need to do the medical here as well you will need to factor in time for that. As well as you need to allow for time to get results, which is the following business day in the late afternoon for the medical place in Surrey.

In terms of wait time, back in January there were spots available 2 weeks ahead. And for every Tuesday following that for 3 months. But keep in mind if that's not the case you can always book a date and keep an eye out for earlier dates as people do reschedule.

My advice(if you want to book a sooner interview) would be while you are waiting now, go and get the police certificate done, photos taken and get the petitioner started on the I-134 as it took us a few weeks to get a letter from his employer and to find the copies of previous years taxes.

Thank you for the details! I wasn't aware of the Tuesday only interview info so it's definitely good to know for planning purposes. It sounds like the wait times for the Vancouver consulate aren't bad at all which is great to hear.

I'm actually the petitioner and I've already completed the I-134 (thankfully my employer and bank have a very easy process for both documents). My fiancé will be getting his police certificate next week, and that's the only outstanding document (I'm a planner and have been preparing for weeks), so we should be good to go relatively quickly!

So totally going to ask.. but that means that the medical should be done on a Friday? Then you should be able to get the results on the Monday? Or do they work weekends at the clinics?

Yes, this would be the Monday unfortunately. So if you are visiting, it would be a Friday to Tuesday trip here if you want it all in one trip.
