EAD after Greencard. Renew or not?

I just read to my husband that once he receives his greencard, the EAD/AP is no longer needed. His EAD/AP card expires next month and he still wants me to ask and make sure that he doesn't have to renew it. Yes he has his permanent residency card since last August. So am I correct to tell him that he doesn't have to renew it?

exactly, he only needs his GC

the EAD is temporary and only until the interview, the GC is more than enough to work, live and travel abroad
