Hi guys, just wondering if I'll get penalized for rescheduling my interview to a few weeks later from now (originally on the 30th). Things came up that I need to be able to have my passport.

Is this something people would advise against?

Thanks! Is there roughly a pattern as to how long it takes to get your visa after that so I can enter the states after the Montreal consulate interview

Once the interview is done is there any way to delay them taking my passport so I can still use it for a week or so after for work? Or is that a no go?

No there cannot be , they will have to take ur passport at that point in time if you take it back from what I heard what happen to someone else you abandoned the visa and will get a denial notice so if you desperately need it put ur interview on a diff date
