how to obtain Singapore police cert. (COC) for Abu Dhabi embassy

Has anyone ever had to get a Singapore police cert (COC) when going thru the US embassy in Abu Dhabi. The S-pore site reads that "they don't issue COC's to non-residents"? my fiancée is from Philippines but worked there for 12 yrs from 1993-2006. It also says they will issue one on a case-by-case basis if an embassy request it. But you need a "Form/request letter" from the embassy. So, how do we get this "form letter" when the embassy doesn't reply to emails or give answers by phone? my fiancée called and was told to follow the S-pore website instructions, but we need a letter from the embassy? Does anyone know for sure?

Has your petition been approved and sent to the embassy in Abu Dhabi? If not, then most likely they will not reply to your emails.

Your fiance will need to fill out the appeal letter that comes with the COC application for non residents. My wife had to get a COC from SG and was able to do so with an email from the embassy in Jakarta stating they needed it.

If you have an interview date given to you, you can use that as proof in SG and they will issue a COC. My fiance is still working in Sg and she is holding Sg PR, but still they will not issue her COC if she asked for one now, not until she have a proof or official request to obtain it. In her case whenever she is given an interview date by the US Embassy, she can take a copy or email from the Embassy and go ahead and request a copy of the COC without any problems.

So like the other poster said, appeal, get an email or proof. In Sg, they want to know why are you requesting it and what for and its up to you to provide them with official document or correspondence.

Thanks guys, our petition was approved and sent to Abu Dhabi Embassy, but we are still waiting for interview appt. slots to open up. So we don't have an I-view scheduled yet. Did you get an official "form letter" from the embassy or just copy the confirmation pg of your scheduled I-view? So I guess we have to wait till we get an I-view scheduled. The only thing we got from the embassy so far is the package of instructions they sent when they received our petition. The cover letter with that pkg. doesn't have my fiancées name or much info on it, so I doubt we could use that for a "request letter"? Thanks again, this site has been very helpful.
