You did not do that at first time. Now you are clarified after I pointed out your previous posts. You could say anything what you want but people will see what you have said at first. Sounds like most politicians are. Change their words many times.

You don't know me so you just assumed. I wrote harsh articles attacking those terrorists who attacked MY COUNTRY. And bow out the idea about cleaning radical Muslims? I laughed so hard now because nowhere of your VERY FIRST POST stated it out clearly. Please, see your very first post, "all cleaning out Aceh". Stick with that, man!

"Since they are such a tiny minority and all" specifically means that radical muslims are assumed to be a tiny minority in the very first line of the post. I believe that perhaps you misread and misunderstood that sentence and took it to imply everyone? Unless you are trying to tell us that I was wrong about that tiny minority part?

I assumed that you are from Sulawesi, which wouldnt umbrella you under any discussion of Aceh

I don't read between the lines. When you wanted to have people paid attention, please add more details. And don't try to spin things like," unless you are trying to tell us I was wrong about that tiny part". That's your assumption. People see and analyze what others wrote. Let them decide.

And I assumed your wife isn't from Aceh, correct me if I'm wrong. So it means, if it was true then wouldn't umbrella you under any discussion of Aceh as well. But hey, how fun to know that people can speak up freely their mind without worried being judged? I had of fun joining this discussion board.

"Since they are such a tiny minority" isn't actually between the lines. It's on the lines. But hey, if you cant answer the question as to why the rest of Indonesian muslims tolerate implementation of radical islamic law you dont have to.

The lack of that answer is the same in Nigeria and the same in the Mideast and in every other islamic utopia on the planet.

Doesnt umbrella me under any discussion? LOL You seem......uncomfortable discussing radical Islam. Quick to label a dislike for it as 'genocide' too. Arent the vast majority of Muslims peaceful and tolerant? I would think that folks like that would not tolerate a few people imposing their radical views on everyone around them.

You are actually made me laugh. You were saying just because I'm from Sulawesi it means it wouldn't umbrella me discuss about Aceh, yet you were saying that are you fine to discuss about it? Sounds hypocrite to me. I did not say any discussion. You have changed my words again. I said, discussion about Aceh. Have you really read my reply?

I'm comfortable talking about anything including radical Islam. I don't really need to convince you about that. Any other senior members on VJ know my stand against radicals and terrorists. I don't need you join the board to believe me.

LOL not being under the umbrella of the people who live there does not exclude anyone from a discussion about what goes on there.

A deliberate misunderstanding? Because originally opening up that discussion from my side directed to your post can hardly be interpreted as excluding you from it. Your (other) misinterpretation of a specifically identified tiny minority extrapolated to everyone in the area also seems deliberate. Like just yet another way to avoid the original issue?

It appears that you want to divert this subject in any possible direction other than the elimination of Radical Islamic Law in Aceh. I have already acknowledged that if you dont want to talk about it there is no need to, but you are not going to be able to reword what I say, pretend that I must have meant something completely different, re-interpret it for me, then use that new and improved interpretation to avoid the issue. Doesnt work that way. Just acknowledge that the previous comment that dealing with it is not going to happen and let the discussion about the wonderful world of life in an Islamic utopia move on.

We hardly on the same page then, ;) . Let's move on and let's people read the posts and decide it. Since you are really sounds offended when I said, genocide, there is no way to tell you that I meant Aceh people NOT the radical Muslims when I responded what you wrote," all cleaning out in Aceh". But again, you interpreted it as if "I support radicals" and you seemed accusing me," tried to save these radicals from cleaning them out from Aceh". Good grief. Have a nice day, then!

Colloquial english lesson: "since they are such a tiny minority and all...." is referring to a tiny minority, not everyone there. This was definitely a misunderstanding, thanks for allowing that to be cleared up.

With that out of the way, recommendations for Sulawesi vacation spots are always welcome. We will definitely be spending some time on Lombok this summer, always looking for different places to visit.

You bet. It should be cleared up now.

If you are going to visit Sulawesi, I would say Tana Toraja would be a better place to go. Well, if you like dead walking people, :) . I have some friends who can help you as a guide if you needed one. Just PM me and I would ask my friend to help you out there. Don't forget the food. We have a lot of delicious food there.

Lombok is nicer than Bali, actually. The island is more pure and original. That's a good spot for a vacation and cheaper than Bali. I went to both islands. Just be careful when you eat street food, my husband's belly couldn't handle it well, lol.

Have you tried pecel or gado-gado? As a vegetarian, I would recommended it to anyone. It's delicious and spicy -if you want-.

Thanks for the suggestions i'll look them up. My wife books everything, otherwise I get the bule price. Here in Saudi we get that Indofood chili sauce, i eat it on everything. I find Padang food to be really good. Street food hasnt bothered me yet, we always hit the sate guy up when he comes by and we'll pick up different things at the corner here and there. We usually stay with family in Indo so you know I hit the street market for soto ayam for a good breakfast.

Last trip to Bali we skipped the beach and stayed in Ubud. We like Lombok for exactly what you said, its unspoiled where Bali is noise and tourists and traffic now. Sulawesi I have never been, but it was part of my wife's territory when she was doing university recruiting. She is familiar with areas where she had to go to conference but never visited like a tourist so the tips are appreciated. We have a 3 and 6 yr old so we are always looking for kid-friendly places.

If thats the same mouth that labels people who wont vote for Muslim candidates "islamophobic" now would be a good time to get a bar of soap and wash it

Yes someone who refuses to even consider someone from another faith, regardless of that person's qualifications, deserves to have their behavior labeled as phobic. That person is afraid and rejected someone before even getting to know them and it meets the definition. Edited by Rob L

The content available on a site dedicated to bringing folks to America should not be promoting racial discord, euro-supremacy, discrimination based on religion , exclusion of groups from immigration based on where they were born, disenfranchisement of voters rights based on how they might vote.

Religion of Peace is nothing to be worried about.

LOL not if that someone lives in Saudi. Thats labelled as not importing that particular brand of product. When that person is afraid he will brief you and let you know he has relocated to somewhere else.

I dont vote for a lot of stuff i'm not particularly worried about LOL, just to avoid the paperwork later

But you said it's a tiny minority. Are ISIS members running for a platform here? And yes, you're still a Islamaphobe if you won't vote for a Muslim, unless you can show me the ISIS member running for a position here in the US.
