What to do while waiting for NOA2?

Hello eveyone,

Just like many of you, my fiance and I would like to be as proactive as possible while waiting for our NOA2. I've already been in contact with the Embassy in Norway and requested a list of documents Anders will need for his interview. They sent me a bunch of attachments in the email that help but I am looking for a guide for preparing for the interview much like Vj provided when arranging documents for the petition. Am I looking in the wrong place?

Basically, we would like to have everything ready so that when we get the letter from the Norwegian embassy we can send in our notification of applicant readiness right away.

What are some of you doing to get ready? Anyone know of where I can find a guide of what we will need to have? Also... has anyone booked medical exams prior to getting a NOA2?

Thanks!

Hilsen,

Lauren

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

4. Watch championship bowling on TV then talk to all your co-workers about it constantly.

5. Read War and Peace, backwards.

6. Learn every dialect of the Chinese language.

7. Sing the Batman theme incessantly wherever you go.

8. Embroider your name on every stitch of clothing you own.

I went to visit Claudeth right after I filed. When I got back both NOAs were waiting plus the letter from the NVC with our case number. Any other preparation was implemented from following the guides here on VJ. Good luck

Since we can feel that RFE is coming for us, hehehe, we are preparing for the possible documents they might be asking..

Other than that, we just keep chatting, texting and talking over the phone and bullying each other.. Heehee... Darn! Who would thought its almost 2 months now.. :D

You were never a mistake. You were my realization.

the only thing I could offer is to get police records/original birthcertificates/etc IF you think they may take a while. Some places can take up to 4 months to issue the police checks, that means if you wait for your NOA2, it will expire before your police checks are in. However, this is a big IF. Check with the places you will need to get them from to get estimated processing times. I might be held up in the same problem, I wish I had my fiance send for his police certificate months ago! Some thinngs will be time sensitive, police checks need to be within one year of interview so only go ahead if you know it will take a long time.

I wouldn't get the medical yet, there are specifics for each embassy and you won't know them until you get packet 3.

The waiting is tough!

Good luck

Start working on the AOS documents now. Wish I had done that while I was going crazy waiting. After your love gets to the US it is hard to take the time and get the AOS documents ready because you are having so much fun doing things together. There will be some items that you cannot put on the AOS doc yet, but get everything else done you can now.

Thanks Mae. Since so many people have now said that they received their NOA2 in the mail but never received an email, my mailbox door is barely hanging on the hinges because the minute I get home I'm ripping it open to see if there's any "official" looking mail from the government in there!!

As for things to do while waiting on the NOA2, I'm having a lot of trouble with number 3 up there on the list.
