Morning Everyone.

Omar got a job near me so today was our first day carpooling together. I will have to teach him how to take the bus home as he gets off 3 hours before me on some days. But no biggie, at least he is working and so far so good. he worked a few hours yesterday afternoon to get acquainted with the job and the people. It's through one of my patients who owns an import company.

Brndl: Glad to hear the physical is over. Next stop...interview...good luck.

T4E: Get a new job!! Sheesh they are controling when you go to the restroom too? Sounds like a Labor and Industries issue to me. My son in laws father had the same problem at his work. L&I came in and took care of that very fast!

Have a good day everyone.

lol i have seen those goats before on the discovery channel! when they get startled they *pass out* and get all stiff for a few minutes! its soo bizarre. :star:

It is truly bizarre. I think they call them "fainting goats." This characteristic seems really odd -- how could it help them survive in the wild ? Seems like a predator could just scare them into falling down, and not even have to chase its meal

Grrrr. Its all I can say. Grrrr. Work has become so frustrating I want to break every pen in my drawer, shred every paper, and just walk away. They dump more work, push harder (can't leave the desk unless its lunch or break and if you need the bathroom, well hold it as long as you can), can't even speak to a coworker, (I got in trouble yesterday for ASKING A QUESTION) just shove papers 10 hours a day as fast as possible, then dump more work (without even advising us its coming or how to handle it), then demote another employee (they knew it was coming for 2 months) without even attempting to begin the process to replace him, AND DUMP EVEN MORE WORK. BLAH! I'M TIRED! I'm backlogged and drowning in paper. I'm mentally numb to the point I can't even relax when I go home. This has been going on since NOVEMBER and they say maybe it will let up after JULY. "Maybe." Last night Moh and I just sat and watched the squirrels. Thank God he didn't see the trickle of drool running down my chin as I stared blankly nodding my head. That's about all that's left at the end of the day. Maybe its time to find a different job. Working for The Eater of Souls is starting to suck.

Sorry for the vent. I lost my life somewhere...

What in the world kind of place runs their business like this ???? I understand a busy workplace and even crazy hours, but not being able to speak to a co-worker ???? Having to ask permission to go to the bathroom ???????

Nothing is worth that kind of indignity. Definitely time to find another job. Good luck.

Wooohoooooooooo, Maggie!! Congrats to Omar!

FYI, No "humping" going on around here . . . so I won't comment on what "day" it ISNT!!

Cloudy and probably more rain . . . I think I'll go out for a walk while it is still dry! Only good thing about being on the bench . . . I can do whatever!!

Later,

yes! fainting goats! i was thinking it could be one of two things ... either its a mutation gone awry... or maybe if they fall on a mountain and fall towards their tough backs & sides their legs won't get broken? huh? huh? how's that for hypothesis?

whatever it is i want to take one home.

I just can't handle that gif. I'm sitting here with my mouth covered laughing myself to tears. Spastic things just waste me. Thanks! I needed a good laugh! Maybe I should try that technique when they bring me more work. Spaz, fall on the floor and go stiff. Might get me a vacation day...
