No issues with this person being deported. Should have been done a long time ago.

The beginning of a news story is below. Links to the earlier stories are within the web article (the link to which is at bottom in the quoted portion). Comments? Sympathy? No sympathy? Why?

4 in 10 Americans believe we are living in the end of times. For many people, that means they should no longer be speculating what would Jesus have done, they should be preparing to ask him in person. Personally I think he's going to be a little pissed this time around.

ETA - Oh yeah, your question - I guess they say don't do the crime if you can't handle the time. Hopefully I don't ever have to put my kids in that position. If I was a person who couldn't have sympathy for kids growing up without their father, and a father who won't see his kids grow up, I'd have to take down all the mirrors in the house, because it's not a person I would want to look.

Nobody is stopping the family reuniting, they do not even need visa's, all citizens of one country, somehow this question never gets asked.

Why has his wide not petitioned him?

assumption that a hispanic woman becomes large after her 30's - that's racist!

A trip to Wal Mart will confirm that age does not matter.

But they have to go to a ####### country none of them are familiar with. I put substantial blame on USCIS for this. They gave him enough rope--time--to hang himself with it, and now his four US born kids have to suffer for something their father did before they were born, and really it's not like he murdered somebody.

He should have been deported the first time he was caught.

Good luck!

You are posting on VJ, it is what we do.

Or are you just taking the piss, obviously was not an issue for the Parents to go to a Country they were not familiar with.

Sorry, seeing families torn apart has my sympathy. However, I also know the effects of alcohol on families and personally knew a girl killed by a drunk driver. However, she was on a student visa killed by an American. None the less, since no one was injured and it was a non-violent crime, he should be able to come back, after a petition has been filed and he shows proof that he is alcohol free for a minimum of a year.

The guy and wife always ran a huge risk and should have known better, but they invited their kids into a situation the kids simply don't deserve. They started it, but USCIS waiting fifteen years (!) to kick him out is ridiculous. At some point if your bureaucracy is that bad you have to just give up; almost like a statute of limitations.

I support a very strict policy on the border and think a wall should be built and the entire world put on notice that if you sneak in you will be removed and permanently banned, regardless of how long it takes to find you--but unfortunately that may have to be an effective-now instead of a retroactively-effect policy, because a lot of people have just been here so long it starts getting vindictive to remove them.

Dude would have never made the list and got picked up without (more than one) violation of the law. No sympathy.

Petitioned by whom?
