Hi all,so am asking this question on behalf of a friend..

Her dad overstayed by 3years in London, he met a crook lawyer who told him he can help him with his citizenship, at the final stage, he had to go thumbprint before the approval of the passport,then it was discovered he overstayed already because all his record showed when he did the thumbprint, now he was advised by his friends to leave London and go to Dublin,where he is presently..now my friend is a US citizen through marriage of a US citizen,she wants to petition her parents, but is scared about her dad's petition would have issues because of his previous overstay,even though it happened in another country outside the US,do u think there's a chance for him to be petitioned for and approved in the US without hassles? I mean can US immigration deny him on the ground of overstay in another country cuz from what I heard every country is interconnected now..thanks for your anticipated response.

No the US won't deny just because he overstayed in another country. Had he overstayed in the USA that would be an issue.
