I called NVC last time and they said I got my interview date already ???? It will be on October ? I am just waiting for the email of my appointment date ?

I would appreciate if folks could respond to my question. My case was completed at NVC on 8/19. NVC says that they are waiting for interview date to be schedule. The consulate is Mumbai. Please let me know if there is anybody here who has received an interview date for Mumbai consulate recently and if yes, then what was their case complete date. Any idea how long is the wait for mumbai consulate to get an interview date. My priority date is Dec, 2004 and it is current. NVC said visa is available they are just waiting to schedule the interview.

Hi. I don't know about the Mumbai Consulate. I'm from the Philippines. Anyways, you can contact NVC if you want to know any update regarding your application.

case sent to NVC june 22 but until now it is not yet case completed.

My overall journey until I received visa interview date for my spouse was about 8 months.

Filed I-824 - Feb 13, 2016

I-824 approved - May 21, 2016

Case arrived at NVC - July 12, 2016

Case complete by NVC - Aug 19, 2016

Interview date given by NVC on - Sep 29th, 2016

Visa appointment date - Nov 3rd, 2016

This is the overall timeline. The main problem is that after NVC receives the case your priority date has to be current. My application was being processed by NVC but my priority date was not current. It because current from Sep 1, 2016. This is what caused a problem and I couldn't get an appointment for october. I had to wait another month. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Hi HarishC ,

My interview at Mumbai is likely to be scheduled anytime in the next 2 to 3 months. NVC completed document verification on September last week. I have a PD of June 2007( E2) and am expecting this to be current anytime in the next couple of visa bulletins. It was current for a loooong time while USCIS and NVC were sadly doing their file transfer and verification process. but anyways .....

Can you please remain in touch and tell is in detail how your experience was and what was asked during the interview ?

Just trying to understand how the NVC scheduled your interview

You stated .."My case got completed at NVC last June13 and my priority date is feb2016" . Even as of 08-Oct-16 the visa bulletin for E2 Phillipines is 01FEB2014 and you are not current.

How come the NVC has scheduled your interview based on this information way back in August ? They had visibility on the dates all the way upto October in August ? This is very surprising.

the director told them that on fiscal year 2017 the EB2 worlwide except china and india will be current so maybe she received her ID on september for octorber interview,

and FYI EB2 Philippines is current.
