Hi All!

My wife and 2 daughters are flying to Manila on 3/30 from Cebu for their medical. I was wondering if anybody has any new input as well as a step-by-step guide to what they will expect during the process. They are under F2A category. Also, I've read that people go there as early as 3 or 4 am. Has anybody had any luck getting anything done in the afternoon? Their flight doesn't get to Manila until 2pm so I'm hoping they'll be out of the airport by 3pm. Is this a good idea or just better off having it done the next day? They are staying in Manila until their interview which is on 4/5. I know that they suggest having medical done a week prior to interview but since we live in the islands, that is not possible for us financially. Would love to hear any F2A medical experience as well as USEM interview.

Thank you and have a nice day, mga kababayan!

Doesn't matter what category the process is the same and that process takes two days. First day is the actual medical stuff, the second day is vaccinations (if I remember right) and clearance. Going so late in the afternoon they will turn them away. Going at 3 or 4 in the morning is a waste of time also. Have them show up @ about 730, earlier is an absolute waste.....just trust me. Everyone wants to wait outside for hours and hours then wait inside for hours and hours. Let them sleep in a bit and go when the crowd is already through. The first day will take until two or three..or something very near that. The second day they'll have to show up @900 and it will take 3 or 4 hours. Perfectly fine to go to embassy interview so quick after but don't expect the visas to be issued any sooner than three weeks or so...minimum.

I have a step by step guide for the SLEC processing. Here is the link: http://dennyeyberg.wix.com/filipino-am-visa#!medical-exam/c1el2

The SLEC experience is the same no matter which visa you are chasing.

Medical is the same for all.

Children between the ages of 2-14 can only start the medical Monday - Wednesday because SLEC does a 3 day skin test for TB for children.

I think you should try to go there if you will make it before 3pm since you have limited time plus the kids needs to start medical from Monday-Wednesday. I ask one of the guards there and he said their cut-off time is 3 or 3:30. They also give priority if you have kids. I went there last feb 29 and everything is fast except for the Physical examination. I arrived 7.45 and done with everything at 9:30am except for the Physical. I waited for my physical exam from 9:30 to 2:30pm. They might give you priority but maybe it depends on how young are your kids.
