My wife went for her visa interview in Lagos, Nigeria, on November 25, 2015 and she was told that her visa was approved and to pick her passport with visa at the DHL office in Lagos, Nigeria after 10 business days, so after 10 business days she went to DHL office and she discovered that her visa was not issued but they kept her passport, then I had to email them and they said they would call her back to second interview. However, they called her back in December, 2015 for second interview and after the interview the CO told her again to pick up her passport with visa in 10 business days at the DHL office and she also went there after 10 business days and her visa hasn't been issued. Then I had to send them several emails regarding to my wife's pending visa approval and they kept telling me it's under administrative processing. it's going to 4 months now without any reply from them or issuing her visa This is really frustrating, I need your advise my people.

When you check your Visa status on the ceac,state.gov what does i say. Just because they say 10 days (they tell every one that) doesn't mean ts printed. Looks like something came up. I bet your stats says you are in administrative processing.

Email the embassy and inquire what is the delay since it has been 4 months now. Something is wrong.

Did your wife tell you the questions and her answers? And was there any issues or specific area of questions the CO had?

Was your wife given a white sheet of paper after the interview?

Yes when I checked her visa status it says administrative processing and the last email I sent to them the reply me back that they would notify her when they are done with the administrative processing that we should wait. Although I filed for K-1 in December, 2013 but it was denied due to the CO saying she didn't convince him that she has a bonafide relationship with me, so I had to go back to Nigeria after some months and get married.

When the consular officer called her for second interview for CR1, he asked her if she has been denied a visa before and she said yes and even showed the CO my son's CRBA and his US passport.

She was not given any white paper, he gave her a white paper to pick up her passport with visa at DHL office in V/Island and the second paper to pay $165 for green card. She emailed both papers to me.

It is very unusual to go for a second interview and still remain in AP. I can imagine how frustrating it can be but I will suggest to get your congress rep involved if you are certain that you met every requirement and did not give any conflicting information during the previous interviews. I pray everything turns out well and you reunite with your wife soon.

I have contacted congress rep. last week but I haven't hear back from them. May God see us through.

Thanks for your reply, God bless.

We also been in AP for 2 months (Lagos Nigeria) . How and where do I contact a Congress Rep? and what do I say? we were given a white 221(g) and a CGI form to drop off our passport and a verification receipt from the High Court. We were told in 10 days our passport would be ready for pick up. That was 50 days ago.

Go to google and ask who s my congressman? Take it fro there if you want.

When you email the embassy what do they say? Seems they are having a hard time either verifying your documents or you know 9ja it goes at the speed of a snail.

The most curious thing happened to me. Had my interview in Lagos on the 8th of january. Was given the uscis immigrant fee form (with no DOS number) and the USCIS general info pamphlet for spouses at risk of abuse. The Interviewer told me my visa would be issued within two weeks after i submit a supplementary document. He said he wanted me to get the pamphlet and the immigrant fee form so i could get a head start on any preparations for hen i receive my visa.

They gave me back my passport and asked me to resubmit it with the supplementary document.

I did this two days later but was told that my passport was not indicated on the form of items to be resubmitted. So i submitted the supplementary document and began waiting to be notified to submit my passport.

When i logged in to uscis, i was told i was now in administrative processing.

Its been over three weeks now.
