I'm going to visit my partner in a week for the 3rd time and we've decided to file for the K1 while I'm there. What do I need to bring/obtain? So far I know of :

  • 1 USA-spec passport photo (obtainable in the UK or US),
  • I-94 information for the I-129f, part 2, Q. 15 (obtainable online once I enter the US?).

I have old boarding passes, receipts etc to include as evidence - do I bring them and send them off in the package or just scan them and send pictures?

Thanks!

You do not have to mail original documents. Photocopies of your boarding passes will do as well as photocopies of your passport showing entry matching the boarding pass dates.

Assuming you are the future beneficiary, the passport photo and a black ink pen to sign the G-325A form and Letter of Intent. Don't need the I-94 unless you're submitting that as part of the evidence of meeting in person.

I'll take a look. Thanks. :)

Regarding the I-94, I was referring to the part of the I-129f that asks for the I-94 arrival/departure record number and date of expiry if I am currently in the US. Are you saying I don't need to fill in that part?

Take as much evidence as you have of being with your fiancé. Pictures, plane tickets, conversations. The more the better. They want proof that your relationship is real. Also, 2x2 passport photos, make sure to write in black inc, if you have an engagement ring receipt I would also include that. I think the rest of the stuff you can collect with your fiancé like the written letter about how you met etc. I hope this helped!
